Una grande diva non fa mai le cose per caso. L’attuale touring band di Dee Dee Bridgewater è un quartetto tutto femminile (con la pianista Alexis Lombre, la bassista Liany Mateo e la batterista Shirazette Tinnin), una formazione assemblata per lanciare un grido di battaglia: “We Exist!”.
Nel progetto confluiscono brani di protesta come “Mississippi Goddam”, “Trying Times”, “The Danger Zone”… Arte e attivismo si materializzano, in un’ottica totalmente femminile, nella poliedrica, raffinata e potente vocalità di una leggenda della musica jazz.

A great diva never does anything by chance. Dee Dee Bridgewater's current touring band is an all-female quartet (featuring pianist Alexis Lombre, bassist Liany Mateo, and drummer Shirazette Tinnin), a formation assembled to launch a rallying cry: "We Exist!".
The project includes protest songs such as "Mississippi Goddam", "Trying Times", "The Danger Zone"... Art and activism materialize, from a completely feminine perspective, in the multifaceted, refined, and powerful vocality of a legend in jazz music.
