Domenica 7 dicembre 2025, alle h. 15, presso le Scuderie di Palazzo Moroni, sarà inaugurata l’ottava edizione della mostra dei presepi, organizzata dall’Associazione Cammino ad Oriente, in collaborazione con l’Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Padova.
La nuova edizione della Mostra propone un percorso tra i diorami e i presepi a tutto tondo che porterà il visitatore ad approfondire i due principali stili che possono contraddistinguere le rappresentazioni presepiali.
Nella prima sezione della mostra saranno presentati al pubblico alcuni diorami che i soci dell’Associazione Cammino ad Oriente hanno realizzato nel corso di questi ultimi anni. Il diorama, nato in Spagna nei primi anni del ‘900 ed esportato poi in Italia, ha sempre affa- scinato il pubblico, dai visitatori più piccoli a quelli più grandi in quanto, pur essendo costruito in uno spazio fisico relativamente ridotto, suscita l’impressione di stare davanti ad uno spa- zio molto più grande, quasi infinito. Per ottenere questo risultato si individuano tre elementi fondamentali che non devono essere tralasciati durante la sua costruzione: utilizzo della prospettiva, uso delle luci e del colore.
Nella seconda sezione saranno poi esposti presepi aperti detti anche “a tutto tondo”. Essi hanno la caratteristica di poter essere visibili su tre o su quattro lati e, a differenza dei diorami, non sono chiusi da una struttura che li contiene. Nessun elemento prospettico o di effetto ottico per creare l’illusione della profondità, ma elementi architettonici e paesaggistici fanno da protagonisti per narrare e raccontare l’episodio legato alla Natività.
Quest’anno, per la prima volta, è stata poi messa in atto una collaborazione con le Sede AIAP di Verona che in Veneto rappresenta l’Associazione Italiana Amici del Presepio.

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM, at the Scuderie of Palazzo Moroni, the eighth edition of the nativity scene exhibition will be inaugurated, organized by the Cammino ad Oriente Association, in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Padua.
The new edition of the Exhibition proposes a journey through dioramas and round nativity scenes that will lead visitors to explore the two main styles that can characterize nativity representations.
In the first section of the exhibition, some dioramas created by the members of the Cammino ad Oriente Association over the past few years will be presented to the public. The diorama, which originated in Spain in the early 1900s and was later exported to Italy, has always fascinated the public, from the smallest visitors to the largest, as it sparks the impression of standing in front of a much larger, almost infinite space, despite being built within a relatively small physical space. To achieve this result, three fundamental elements must be considered during its construction: the use of perspective, lighting, and color.
In the second section, open nativity scenes, also known as "round," will be displayed. They have the characteristic of being visible on three or four sides and, unlike dioramas, are not enclosed by a structure that contains them. There are no perspective or optical effects to create the illusion of depth; instead, architectural and landscape elements play the leading roles in narrating the episode related to the Nativity.
This year, for the first time, a collaboration has been established with the AIAP office in Verona, which represents the Italian Association of Friends of the Nativity Scene in Veneto.

Am Sonntag, den 7. Dezember 2025, um 15 Uhr, wird in den Stallungen des Palazzo Moroni die achte Ausgabe der Krippenausstellung eröffnet, organisiert von der Associazione Cammino ad Oriente in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kulturbüro der Gemeinde Padua.
Die neue Ausgabe der Ausstellung bietet einen Weg durch die Dioramen und Rundkrippen, der die Besucher dazu einlädt, die beiden Hauptstile zu vertiefen, die die Krippen Darstellungen kennzeichnen können.
In der ersten Sektion der Ausstellung werden der Öffentlichkeit einige Dioramen präsentiert, die die Mitglieder der Associazione Cammino ad Oriente in den letzten Jahren realisiert haben. Das Diorama, geboren in Spanien zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts und dann nach Italien exportiert, hat das Publikum immer fasziniert, von den kleinsten Besuchern bis zu den älteren, da es, obwohl es in einem relativ kleinen physischen Raum konstruiert ist, den Eindruck erweckt, vor einem viel größeren, fast endlosen Raum zu stehen. Um dieses Ergebnis zu erzielen, werden drei grundlegende Elemente identifiziert, die während seiner Konstruktion nicht vernachlässigt werden dürfen: Verwendung der Perspektive, Einsatz von Licht und Farbe.
In der zweiten Sektion werden dann offene Krippen, auch "Rundum"-Krippen genannt, ausgestellt. Sie zeichnen sich dadurch aus, dass sie von drei oder vier Seiten sichtbar sind und im Gegensatz zu den Dioramen nicht von einer Struktur umschlossen sind. Keine perspektivischen Elemente oder optischen Effekte zur Schaffung der Illusion von Tiefe, sondern architektonische und landschaftliche Elemente stehen im Mittelpunkt, um das mit der Geburt Christi verbundene Ereignis zu narren und zu erzählen.
In diesem Jahr wurde erstmals eine Zusammenarbeit mit der AIAP-Stelle in Verona umgesetzt, die in Venetien die Associazione Italiana Amici del Presepio vertritt.
