Al Centro Culturale Altinate San Gaetano di Padova è in arrivo un'esposizione straordinaria che presenta l'opera di un artista capace di trasformare geometria e matematica in arte pura.
Un appuntamento imperdibile, pensato per adulti e bambini, appassionati d'arte e di scienza, per scoprire l'opera unica di uno dei geni più affascinanti del Novecento.
Curata da Federico Giudiceandrea, tra i massimi collezionisti ed esperti mondiali di Escher, la mostra accompagna il visitatore all'interno dell'universo immaginifico e sorprendente di questo straordinario artista olandese.
Nato nel 1898 nei Paesi Bassi, M.C. Escher ha saputo fondere arte e matematica in un linguaggio visivo inconfondibile, capace di sfidare la percezione e di affascinare intere generazioni. Celebre per le sue visioni impossibili, i paradossi visivi e le geometrie infinite, Escher è diventato nel tempo un'icona non solo per matematici e studiosi, ma anche per il grande pubblico, conquistato dalla potenza visiva e concettuale delle sue opere.
Le sue creazioni rappresentano un punto di incontro straordinario tra pensiero scientifico e immaginazione artistica, influenzando profondamente ambiti come il design, la grafica, il cinema, la pubblicità, la moda e la musica.
La mostra, con il patrocinio dell'Ambasciata e Consolato Generale del Regno dei Paesi Bassi, promossa dal Comune di Padova, è prodotta ed organizzata da Arthemisia in collaborazione la M.C. Escher Foundation, la M.C. Escher Heritage e Maurits.

Born in 1898 in the Netherlands, M.C. Escher masterfully blended art and mathematics into an unmistakable visual language, capable of challenging perception and captivating entire generations. Famous for his impossible visions, visual paradoxes, and infinite geometries, Escher has become over time an icon not only for mathematicians and scholars but also for the general public, enchanted by the visual and conceptual power of his works.
His creations represent an extraordinary meeting point between scientific thought and artistic imagination, profoundly influencing fields such as design, graphics, cinema, advertising, fashion, and music.
The exhibition, under the patronage of the Embassy and Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, promoted by the Municipality of Padua, is produced and organized by Arthemisia in collaboration with the M.C. Escher Foundation, the M.C. Escher Heritage, and Maurits.
