Un concerto di improvvisazione tra classica e jazz. Il protagonista, Stefano Battaglia, oltre ad essere considerato uno dei più vibranti ed intensi pianisti del panorama musicale a livello mondiale, è infatti un improvvisatore a tutto campo ed un compositore colto e raffinato, forte di sfumature e influenze diverse, leader maturo e sideman creativo, e nella sua abituale dimensione del solo riesce con la massima libertà a ripercorrere ed a restituire con estrema profondità tutta la ricchezza ed il lirismo della sua esperienza musicale, senza negarsi quelle improvvise ma rigorose mutazioni che ne caratterizzano da sempre le scelte artistiche.

Un dialogo a tratti melodico e meditativo, a tratti energico e impetuoso, tra due grandi strumenti: pianoforte e violino, nelle mani di due grandi interpreti, daranno vita sul palco del Barco ad emozioni contrastanti: dalle sonorità del repertorio classico russo alle profondità della tradizione musicale armena, alle giocosità della composizione contemporanea, in dialogo e in assoli.

An improvisation concert blending classical and jazz. The protagonist, Stefano Battaglia, is not only considered one of the most vibrant and intense pianists in the global music scene, but he is also a versatile improviser and a cultured, refined composer, rich in nuances and diverse influences. As a mature leader and creative sideman, in his usual solo dimension, he is able, with the utmost freedom, to retrace and convey with extreme depth all the richness and lyricism of his musical experience, while embracing the sudden yet rigorous transformations that have always characterized his artistic choices.

A dialogue that is at times melodic and meditative, and at times energetic and impetuous, between two great instruments: piano and violin, in the hands of two great interpreters, will bring contrasting emotions to life on the Barco stage: from the sounds of the Russian classical repertoire to the depths of Armenian musical tradition, to the playfulness of contemporary composition, in dialogue and in solos.

Ein Improvisationskonzert zwischen Klassik und Jazz. Der Protagonist, Stefano Battaglia, gilt nicht nur als einer der lebhaftesten und intensivsten Pianisten der weltweiten Musikwelt, sondern ist auch ein vielseitiger Improvisator und ein gebildeter, raffinierter Komponist, ausgestattet mit einem Spektrum unterschiedlicher Nuancen und Einflüsse, ein reifer Bandleader und kreativer Sideman. In seiner gewohnten Solodimension gelingt es ihm, mit größter Freiheit die gesamte Fülle und Lyrik seiner musikalischen Erfahrung nachzuvollziehen und mit extremer Tiefe wiederzugeben, ohne sich den plötzlichen, aber strengen Veränderungen zu entziehen, die seit jeher seine künstlerischen Entscheidungen kennzeichnen.

Ein melodischer und meditativer Dialog, der an manchen Stellen energisch und stürmisch ist, zwischen zwei großen Instrumenten: Klavier und Violine, in den Händen zweier großartiger Interpreten, wird auf der Bühne des Barco widersprüchliche Emotionen hervorrufen: von den Klängen des russischen klassischen Repertoires bis zu den Tiefen der armenischen Musikkultur, bis zu den verspielten Elementen der zeitgenössischen Komposition, in Dialog und in Soli.
