Dario Fo – drammaturgo, attore, regista, pittore e scenografo – nel 1997 è stato insignito del Premio Nobel per la letteratura grazie alle oltre 80 commedie tradotte in 24 lingue e replicate in tutto il mondo. La motivazione dell’Accademia di Svezia recita “che, emulando i giullari medievali, dileggia il potere restituendo la dignità degli oppressi”.
Nel 1978, la messa in scena al Teatro alla Scala di Milano dell’Histoire du soldat di Igor Stravinskij, con la regia di Dario Fo, ha segnato l’esordio teatrale di Paolo Rossi, all’epoca venticinquenne, influenzando profondamente la sua carriera e ponendo le basi del suo stile teatrale.
Fo, dopo aver assistito a Il Mistero Buffo (P.S.: nell’umile versione pop) – rivisitazione di Rossi del suo immenso capolavoro -, ha definito così l’attore: “la sua fisicità è innegabile, quasi miracolosa e mi colpisce la sua capacità di trasformarsi. Lui, di bassa statura, sulla scena cresce, cresce e si ingigantisce a vista sotto gli occhi dello spettatore”.
In questo spettacolo di prosa e musica, affianca Paolo Rossi l’attrice, regista e psicologa Caterina Gabanella, in un gioco delle parti che si ispira alla sinergia creativa di Dario Fo e Franca Rame.
Le Sonate per archi di Rossini sono un ulteriore omaggio al poliedrico Dario Fo che curò la regia di diverse opere rossiniane.

Dario Fo – playwright, actor, director, painter, and set designer – was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1997 for his over 80 plays translated into 24 languages and performed worldwide. The motivation from the Swedish Academy states “that, emulating medieval jesters, mocks power by restoring the dignity of the oppressed”.
In 1978, the staging at La Scala in Milan of the Histoire du soldat by Igor Stravinsky, directed by Dario Fo, marked the theatrical debut of Paolo Rossi, who was twenty-five at the time, profoundly influencing his career and laying the foundations of his theatrical style.
Fo, after attending Il Mistero Buffo (P.S.: in the humble pop version) – Rossi's reinterpretation of his immense masterpiece – described the actor as follows: “his physicality is undeniable, almost miraculous, and I am struck by his ability to transform. He, of short stature, grows on stage, grows and enlarges before the eyes of the audience”.
In this show of prose and music, Paolo Rossi is joined by actress, director, and psychologist Caterina Gabanella, in a role play inspired by the creative synergy of Dario Fo and Franca Rame.
Rossini's String Sonatas are an additional tribute to the multifaceted Dario Fo, who directed several Rossinian operas.

Dario Fo – Dramatiker, Schauspieler, Regisseur, Maler und Bühnenbildner – wurde 1997 mit dem Nobelpreis für Literatur ausgezeichnet für über 80 Komödien, die in 24 Sprachen übersetzt und weltweit aufgeführt wurden. Die Begründung der Schwedischen Akademie lautet: “da er die mittelalterlichen Gaukler emuliert, verspotten die Macht und gibt den Unterdrückten ihre Würde zurück.”
1978 bedeutete die Inszenierung von Igor Stravinskijs Histoire du soldat am Teatro alla Scala in Mailand unter der Regie von Dario Fo den Theaterdebüt von Paolo Rossi, der damals fünfundzwanzig war, und beeinflusste seine Karriere nachhaltig und legte die Grundlagen für seinen Theaterstil.
Fo, nachdem er Il Mistero Buffo (P.S.: in der bescheidenen Pop-Version) – Rossi’s Neuinterpretation seines gewaltigen Meisterwerks – gesehen hatte, beschrieb den Schauspieler so: “seine Physikalität ist unbestreitbar, fast wundersam und ich bin beeindruckt von seiner Fähigkeit, sich zu verwandeln. Er, von geringer Statur, wächst auf der Bühne, wächst und vergrößert sich vor den Augen des Zuschauers.”
In dieser Prosa- und Musikaufführung wird Paolo Rossi von der Schauspielerin, Regisseurin und Psychologin Caterina Gabanella begleitet, in einem Rollenspiel, das von der kreativen Synergie von Dario Fo und Franca Rame inspiriert ist.
Die Streicher-Sonaten von Rossini sind eine weitere Hommage an den vielseitigen Dario Fo, der bei verschiedenen Rossini-Opern die Regie führte.
