Padovanità vi propone questa visita ad un luogo ameno e prezioso per la tradizione storica, artistica e religiosa della nostra città. Entreremo nella Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine e nella sua stupenda Scoletta.
Avremo modo di rimanere estasiati dalle spiegazioni della nostra guida attraverso un vero e proprio viaggio nel tempo che faremo man mano durante la visita. La Basilica di Santa Maria del Carmine è chiamata popolarmente i Carmini, dal nome dell'ordine monastico che si insediò a Padova verso la fine del XIII secolo. La prima Chiesa (la più antica di cui si ha notizia) fu edificata nel 1212, assieme ad un convento di monache che fu poi ricostruito dai frati carmelitani prima del 1295. La ricostruzione della Chiesa iniziò nel 1335, ma la consacrazione della nuova Chiesa dedicata a Santa Maria del Carmine avvenne nel 1446.
Accanto alla Basilica, troviamo la Scoletta del Carmine, dove sono conservati importanti esempi di arte rinascimentale. Edificata nel XIV secolo, come sede dell'omonima confraternita, è decorata da un importante ciclo di affreschi del XVI secolo, rappresentanti storie di Cristo e di Maria. Gli affreschi sono opera di Girolamo Tessari, detto dal Santo, Giulio Campagnola, Domenico Campagnola Stefano dall'Arzere e collaboratori.

Padovanità invites you to visit a pleasant and valuable place for the historical, artistic, and religious tradition of our city. We will enter the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine and its wonderful Scoletta.
We will have the opportunity to be amazed by our guide's explanations through a true journey through time that we will experience as we go through the visit. The Basilica of Santa Maria del Carmine is popularly called i Carmini, named after the monastic order that settled in Padua around the end of the 13th century. The first Church (the oldest on record) was built in 1212, along with a convent of nuns that was later rebuilt by the Carmelite friars before 1295. The reconstruction of the Church began in 1335, but the consecration of the new Church dedicated to Santa Maria del Carmine took place in 1446.
Next to the Basilica, we find the Scoletta del Carmine, where important examples of Renaissance art are preserved. Built in the 14th century as the seat of the homonymous confraternity, it is decorated with an important cycle of 16th-century frescoes depicting stories of Christ and Mary. The frescoes are the work of Girolamo Tessari, known as dal Santo, Giulio Campagnola, Domenico Campagnola, Stefano dall'Arzere, and collaborators.

Wir werden in den Erklärungen unserer Führerin von einem wahren Zeitreise begeistert sein, die wir während des Besuchs Schritt für Schritt erleben werden. Die Basilika Santa Maria del Carmine wird volkstümlich die Carmini genannt, nach dem Namen des monastischen Ordens, der sich gegen Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts in Padua niederließ. Die erste Kirche (die älteste, von der es Berichte gibt) wurde 1212 erbaut, zusammen mit einem Nonnenkloster, das später von den Karme-liten vor 1295 umgebaut wurde.
