DISNEY. L’ARTE DI RACCONTARE STORIE SENZA TEMPO
Raccontare storie senza tempo riuscendo a incantare il pubblico è considerata una vera e propria arte, ma dietro l’immediatezza tipica del risultato artistico perfetto si nasconde - come spesso accade nel mondo dell’arte - un lavoro di ricerca creativa che dura anni, generalmente ignoto a chi ascolta queste storie.
L’esposizione, promossa dal Comune di Padova - Assessorato alla Cultura e dal Centro Culturale Altinate San Gaetano, prodotta da 24 ORE Cultura - Gruppo 24 ORE, a cura della Walt Disney Animation Research Library e con la collaborazione di Federico Fiecconi, storico e critico del fumetto e del cinema di animazione, presenta preziose opere originali provenienti dagli Archivi Disney relative agli immortali lungometraggi e ad altri celebri film dei Walt Disney Animation Studios, fino al più recente film d'animazione Frozen 2 – Il Segreto di Arendelle, creato da una nuova generazione di artisti e cineasti tuttora profondamente ispirati all'eredità di Walt Disney.
Il percorso racconta al visitatore i capolavori di Walt Disney riconducendo le storie alle antiche matrici di tradizione epica: sono i miti, le leggende medievali e il folklore, le favole e le fiabe che costituiscono da secoli il patrimonio archetipico narrativo delle diverse culture del mondo, un vero e proprio melting pot tra i diversi continenti.
Queste sono anche le sezioni tematiche della mostra, in cui trovano collocazione le storie più famose da cui sono stati tratti i film Disney e vengono presentate in chiave narrativa attraverso l’esposizione dei bozzetti preparatori di ricerca creativa, incentrati sull’esplorazione di personaggi, ambientazioni e trame narrative.

DISNEY. THE ART OF TELLING TIMELESS STORIES
Telling timeless stories while managing to enchant the public is considered a real art, but behind the typical immediacy of the perfect artistic result lies - as often happens in the art world - a creative research work that lasts years, generally unknown to those who listen to these stories.
The exhibition, promoted by the Department of Culture and the Altinate San Gaetano Cultural Centre, produced by 24 ORE Cultura - Gruppo 24 ORE, curated by the Walt Disney Animation Research Library and with the collaboration of Federico Fiecconi, historian and critic of comics and animated cinema, presents precious original works from the Disney Archives relating to the immortal feature films and other famous films by Walt Disney Animation Studios, up to the most recent animated film Frozen 2 – The Secret of Arendelle, created by a new generation of artists and filmmakers still deeply inspired by Walt Disney's legacy.
The itinerary tells the visitor about Walt Disney's masterpieces, tracing the stories back to the ancient matrices of epic tradition: they are the myths, medieval legends and folklore, fables and fairy tales that have constituted the archetypal narrative heritage of the different cultures of the world for centuries, a real melting pot between the different continents.
These are also the thematic sections of the exhibition, in which the most famous stories from which Disney films were based are placed and are presented in a narrative key through the display of preparatory sketches of creative research, focused on the exploration of characters, settings and narrative plots.
