Il più antico edificio civico sopravvissuto della città è pronto ad aprire le sue porte al pubblico, dopo un’importante opera di restauro.
Sarà aperta al pubblico dalla mattina di mercoledì 10 dicembre la Torre degli Anziani, visitabile da tutti per la prima volta nella sua storia, dopo un delicato e complesso restauro durato oltre un anno.
Dalla sua sommità, a 47 metri sul piano stradale è possibile godere di una magnifica vista a 360 gradi su tutta la città, vista che nelle giornate limpide si spinge fino alle Prealpi a nord e ai colli Euganei a sud ovest.
Si potrà accedere alla sommità della torre grazie ai 190 gradini della nuova scala realizzata al suo interno in sostituzione della vecchia struttura lignea, oramai pericolante risalente alla fine del 18° secolo. I visitatori, al massimo venti alla volta, accederanno alla saletta multimediale realizzata alla base della Torre nei locali una volta sede dell’ufficio gruppi diminoranza, attrezzata con sedie e un maxischermo sul quale vedere un filmato introduttivo che, in un linguaggio semplice accompagnato da immagini spettacolari, racconta la storia della Torre e spiega le fasi del suo restauro. Terminata il video, i visitatori, salgono alla sommità della Torre dove possono sostare circa 15 minuti.

The oldest surviving civic building in the city is ready to open its doors to the public, following an important restoration work.
The Tower of the Elders will be open to the public from the morning of Wednesday, December 10, visitable by everyone for the first time in its history, after a delicate and complex restoration lasting over a year.
From its summit, at 47 meters above street level, it is possible to enjoy a magnificent 360-degree view of the entire city, a view that on clear days extends to the Prealps to the north and the Euganean Hills to the southwest.
Access to the top of the tower will be possible via the 190 steps of the new staircase built inside to replace the old wooden structure, which was now dangerous and dating back to the late 18th century. Visitors, a maximum of twenty at a time, will enter the multimedia room located at the base of the Tower in the rooms that once housed the minority groups office, equipped with chairs and a large screen on which to watch an introductory video that, in simple language accompanied by spectacular images, tells the story of the Tower and explains the phases of its restoration. After the video, visitors will proceed to the top of the Tower where they can stay for about 15 minutes.

Das älteste erhaltene Zivilgebäude der Stadt ist bereit, nach umfangreichen Restaurierungsarbeiten seine Türen für die Öffentlichkeit zu öffnen.
Der Turm der Alten wird ab der Morgen von Mittwoch, den 10. Dezember für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sein, zum ersten Mal in seiner Geschichte, nach einer sensiblen und komplexen Restaurierung, die über ein Jahr gedauert hat.
Von seiner Spitze, in 47 Metern über dem Straßenniveau, kann man einen magnifizenten 360-Grad-Blick auf die gesamte Stadt genießen, eine Aussicht, die an klaren Tagen bis zu den Voralpen im Norden und bis zu den Euganeischen Hügeln im Südwesten reicht.
Man kann die Spitze des Turms über die 190 Stufen der neuen Treppe erreichen, die im Inneren anstelle der alten, gefährlichen Holzstruktur errichtet wurde, die aus dem späten 18. Jahrhundert stammt. Die Besucher, maximal zwanzig zur gleichen Zeit, werden Zugang zu dem Multimedia-Raum am Fuße des Turms haben, in den Räumen, die einst das Büro für Minderheitengruppen beherbergten, ausgestattet mit Stühlen und einem großen Bildschirm, auf dem ein einführender Film gezeigt wird, der in einfacher Sprache und mit spektakulären Bildern die Geschichte des Turms erzählt und die Phasen seiner Restaurierung erklärt. Nach dem Video steigen die Besucher zur Spitze des Turms, wo sie etwa 15 Minuten verweilen können.
