Concerto di chiusura di MUSICA AL MUSEO, giovedì 10 settembre, alle ore 18 al Chiostro Albini del Museo agli Eremitani di Padova, con un’altra giovane musicista di grande talento, la violoncellista ELEONORA TESTA.
Iniziato lo studio del violoncello a soli 5 anni, a 14 Eleonora Testa venne ammessa all’Accademia Stauffer di Cremona e, nello stesso anno, all’Accademia Chigiana di Siena. La sua formazione sta ora proseguendo alla Robert Schumann Hochschule di Düsseldorf. Anche la sua carriera concertistica è iniziata prestissimo: a dodici anni è stata invitata da Giovanni Sollima ad esibirsi nell’ambito del Ravenna Festival, e in qualità di solista con orchestra è stata presente in numerose rassegne e stagioni concertistiche. Ha anche tenuto recital in importanti contesti e ha vinto numerosi concorsi nazionali e internazionali, tra i quali, nel 2020, il Primo Premio alla Janigro Junior Competition in Croazia. Accanto all’attività solistica coltiva con particolare dedizione la musica da camera. Dal 2025 è membro del Trio Fenice, formazione con cui approfondisce il grande repertorio cameristico.
Il programma scelto per il concerto del 10 settembre, spaziando dalla musica barocca a quella del ventesimo secolo, darà modo di mettere in luce tutte le qualità tecniche virtuosistiche e interpretative di Testa. Di J.S. Bach verrà eseguita una delle famose sei suite per violoncello solo, la Suite n. 2 in re minore BWV 1008. Seguiranno due pezzi degli anni ‘20 del Novecento, la Sonata op. 25 n. 3 (1922) di Paul Hindemith e la Sonata in do minore op. 28 (1923) di Eugène Ysaÿe. Chiuderà il concerto un classico del repertorio per violoncello solo, la Sonata di György Ligeti, scritta tra il 1948 e il 1953.

Closing concert of MUSIC AT THE MUSEUM, Thursday, September 10, at 6 p.m. at the Chiostro Albini of the Museo agli Eremitani in Padua, featuring another young musician of great talent, cellist ELEONORA TESTA.
Having started studying the cello at just 5 years old, at 14 Eleonora Testa was admitted to the Accademia Stauffer in Cremona and, in the same year, to the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. She is currently continuing her training at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. Her concert career also began very early: at twelve, she was invited by Giovanni Sollima to perform at the Ravenna Festival, and as a soloist with orchestra, she has participated in numerous festivals and concert seasons. She has also given recitals in important venues and has won numerous national and international competitions, including, in 2020, First Prize at the Janigro Junior Competition in Croatia. Alongside her solo activity, she dedicates herself particularly to chamber music. Since 2025, she has been a member of the Trio Fenice, a group through which she explores the great chamber repertoire.
The program selected for the concert on September 10, spanning from baroque music to that of the twentieth century, will highlight all of Testa's virtuosic technical and interpretative qualities. One of J.S. Bach's famous six suites for solo cello, the Suite No. 2 in D minor BWV 1008, will be performed. This will be followed by two pieces from the 1920s, the Sonata op. 25 No. 3 (1922) by Paul Hindemith and the Sonata in C minor op. 28 (1923) by Eugène Ysaÿe. The concert will conclude with a classic of the solo cello repertoire, the Sonata by György Ligeti, written between 1948 and 1953.

Abschlusskonzert von MUSICA AL MUSEO, Donnerstag, 10. September, um 18 Uhr im Chiostro Albini des Museums degli Eremitani in Padua, mit einer weiteren talentierten jungen Musikerin, der Cellistin ELEONORA TESTA.
Mit dem Cellospiel begann Eleonora Testa bereits im Alter von 5 Jahren, mit 14 Jahren wurde sie an der Accademia Stauffer in Cremona und im selben Jahr an der Accademia Chigiana in Siena aufgenommen. Ihre Ausbildung wird derzeit an der Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf fortgesetzt. Ihre Konzertkarriere begann ebenfalls sehr früh: Mit zwölf Jahren wurde sie von Giovanni Sollima eingeladen, im Rahmen des Ravenna Festivals aufzutreten, und als Solistin mit Orchester war sie bei zahlreichen Festivals und Konzertserien präsent. Sie hat auch Recitals in bedeutenden Kontexten gegeben und mehrere nationale und internationale Wettbewerbe gewonnen, darunter 2020 den ersten Preis beim Janigro Junior Competition in Kroatien. Neben ihrer solistischen Tätigkeit widmet sie sich mit besonderer Hingabe der Kammermusik. Seit 2025 ist sie Mitglied des Trio Fenice, einer Formation, mit der sie das große kammermusikalische Repertoire vertieft.
Das für das Konzert am 10. September ausgewählte Programm, das von barocker Musik bis zur Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts reicht, wird alle virtuosen technischen und interpretatorischen Qualitäten von Testa zur Geltung bringen. Von J.S. Bach wird eine der berühmten sechs Suiten für Violoncello solo, die Suite Nr. 2 in d-Moll BWV 1008, aufgeführt. Es folgen zwei Stücke aus den 20er Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts, die Sonate op. 25 Nr. 3 (1922) von Paul Hindemith und die Sonate in c-Moll op. 28 (1923) von Eugène Ysaÿe. Den Abschluss des Konzerts bildet ein Klassiker des Repertoires für Violoncello solo, die Sonate von György Ligeti, die zwischen 1948 und 1953 geschrieben wurde.
