JOHANN KUHNAU: SEI SONATE BIBLICHE
in occasione della Festa della Musica 2026

Il weekend del 20 e 21 giugno si arricchisce di tre straordinari concerti a cura degli Amici della Musica e dedicati all’esecuzione delle sei Sonate bibliche di Johann Kuhnau (1660-1722).
Prolifico compositore tedesco della generazione precedente a Bach, Kuhnau, animato dalla volontà di “descrivere” in musica passi della Bibbia, trasse ispirazione da alcuni brani dell’Antico Testamento e compose una raccolta di sei sonate per strumento a tastiera, che furono pubblicate nel 1700.

The weekend of June 20 and 21 is enriched by three extraordinary concerts organized by the Friends of Music dedicated to the performance of the six Biblical Sonatas by Johann Kuhnau (1660-1722).
A prolific German composer of the generation before Bach, Kuhnau, driven by the desire to “depict” in music passages from the Bible, was inspired by some texts from the Old Testament and composed a collection of six sonatas for keyboard instrument, which were published in 1700.
Three concerts:

Das Wochenende vom 20. und 21. Juni bereichert sich um drei außergewöhnliche Konzerte , organisiert von den Freunden der Musik und gewidmet der Aufführung der sechs biblischen Sonaten von Johann Kuhnau (1660-1722).
Produktiver deutscher Komponist der Generation vor Bach, Kuhnau, motiviert von dem Wunsch, in Musik biblische Texte zu „beschreiben“, ließ sich von einigen Passagen des Alten Testaments inspirieren und komponierte eine Sammlung aus sechs Sonaten für Tasteninstrument, die 1700 veröffentlicht wurden.
