L’abbazia benedettina di Santa Maria in Sylvis a Sesto al Reghena è uno dei più importanti monumenti altomedievali del Friuli. Fondata nell’VIII secolo, conserva affreschi romanici, una cripta e un campanile di rara bellezza. Il percorso ciclistico attraversa la pianura friulana lungo strade secondarie e ciclabili, in un paesaggio tranquillo e suggestivo. Un’uscita conclusiva di grande valore storico e spirituale.

The Benedictine abbey of Santa Maria in Sylvis in Sesto al Reghena is one of the most important Early Medieval monuments in Friuli. Founded in the 8th century, it houses Romanesque frescoes, a crypt, and a bell tower of rare beauty. The cycling route crosses the Friulian plain along secondary and cycling roads, in a peaceful and evocative landscape. A concluding outing of great historical and spiritual value.

Die Benediktinerabtei Santa Maria in Sylvis in Sesto al Reghena ist eines der bedeutendsten hochmittelalterlichen Monumente in Friaul. Gegründet im 8. Jahrhundert, beherbergt sie romanische Fresken, eine Krypta und einen selten schönen Glockenturm. Die Radtour führt durch die Friulanische Ebene entlang von Nebenstraßen und Radwegen, in einer ruhigen und malerischen Landschaft. Ein Abschlussausflug von großem historischen und spirituellen Wert.
