Il pianista e compositore tedesco Johannes Mössinger arriva a Sile Jazz con Versus, nuovo progetto in trio che riunisce il bassista macedone Martin Gjakonovski e il batterista Bastian Jütte, due figure consolidate della scena jazz europea. Attivo da anni sui palchi internazionali e collaboratore di artisti come Joe Lovano e Seamus Blake, Mössinger sviluppa una musica che unisce improvvisazione, scrittura e continua esplorazione delle possibilità del linguaggio jazz. Nel dialogo tra pianoforte, basso e batteria emergono richiami alla tradizione jazz e alla musica colta europea, da Duke Ellington a Thelonious Monk fino a Bach e Šostakovič, rielaborati attraverso una scrittura personale e dinamica. Il trio alterna momenti di forte energia ritmica a passaggi più rarefatti e melodici, costruendo una musica in costante equilibrio tra libertà improvvisativa e precisione della scrittura.

Dal 5 giugno al 25 luglio, la nuova edizione di Sile Jazz – Altri Argini trasforma le province di Treviso e Venezia in un grande teatro diffuso, dove la musica si spinge oltre i confini tradizionali attraverso 20 concerti in luoghi del tutto insoliti.
Sotto la direzione artistica di Alessandro Fedrigo per nusica.org, il festival tesse una trama di jazz contemporaneo europeo, muovendosi con audacia tra scrittura, sperimentazione ed elettronica.

The German pianist and composer Johannes Mössinger arrives at Sile Jazz with Versus, a new trio project that brings together Macedonian bassist Martin Gjakonovski and drummer Bastian Jütte, two established figures of the European jazz scene. Active for years on international stages and collaborator with artists such as Joe Lovano and Seamus Blake, Mössinger develops a music that merges improvisation, composition, and continuous exploration of the possibilities of jazz language. In the dialogue between piano, bass, and drums, references to jazz tradition and European classical music emerge, from Duke Ellington to Thelonious Monk to Bach and Šostaković, reinterpreted through a personal and dynamic writing style. The trio alternates moments of strong rhythmic energy with more ethereal and melodic passages, constructing music that maintains a constant balance between improvisational freedom and compositional precision.

From June 5 to July 25, the new edition of Sile Jazz – Altri Argini transforms the provinces of Treviso and Venice into a large distributed theater, where music pushes beyond traditional boundaries through 20 concerts in entirely unusual locations.
Under the artistic direction of Alessandro Fedrigo for nusica.org, the festival weaves a tapestry of contemporary European jazz, boldly moving between composition, experimentation, and electronics.

Der Pianist und Komponist Johannes Mössinger kommt mit Versus, einem neuen Trio-Projekt, das den mazedonischen Bassisten Martin Gjakonovski und den Schlagzeuger Bastian Jütte vereint, zwei gefestigte Persönlichkeiten der europäischen Jazzszene, nach Sile Jazz. Seit Jahren aktiv auf internationalen Bühnen und Collaborateur von Künstlern wie Joe Lovano und Seamus Blake, entwickelt Mössinger eine Musik, die Improvisation, Komposition und die stetige Erkundung der Möglichkeiten der Jazzsprache vereint. Im Dialog zwischen Klavier, Bass und Schlagzeug treten Anklänge an die Jazztradition und die europäische ernste Musik hervor, von Duke Ellington über Thelonious Monk bis hin zu Bach und Šostakovič, die durch eine persönliche und dynamische Schriftweise umgestaltet werden. Das Trio wechselt zwischen Momenten starker rhythmischer Energie und selteneren melodischen Passagen und erschafft eine Musik, die in ständigem Gleichgewicht zwischen improvisatorischer Freiheit und Präzision des Schreibens schwingt.

Unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Alessandro Fedrigo für nusica.org webt das Festival ein Netz aus zeitgenössischem europäischem Jazz und bewegt sich mutig zwischen Komposition, Experimentation und Elektronik.
