Prenotazione obbligatoria.
Book presentation "My Match Continues" by Torresan and Alberta Bellussi.
It is the book of a true story: strong, ruthless yet at the same time delicate, fortunate, and positive. It tells the tale of a terrible illness that, like a violent blow, arrives suddenly without warning, during a Sunday, like any other, when Alberto was playing his usual soccer match with his team, and from that moment everything changes. Diagnosis: multiple myeloma. The book “My Match Continues” is based on the diary that Alberto wrote during his illness; months and months spent in hospital rooms, with tests, chemo, visits, bags, IVs; pages upon pages handwritten with a blue pen noting fears, emotions, pain, falls, recoveries, hope, and also light moments filled with laughter and joy. These pages were handed to his friend Alberta, who tried to recount the story capturing the pain, but also all the nuances of a match with life as told by the protagonist. It is a message of hope to make young people understand the importance of registering with the Italian National Donor Registry IBMDR to give a new hope of life to a patient awaiting a transplant with a simple gesture: a simple blood sample.
The event is part of the series Veneto Legge. Mandatory reservation.
Reservierung erforderlich.
