Tale è la rappresentazione della campagna che emerge dalle opere di Cesare Pavese, uno degli autori più significativi del panorama letterario italiano del Novecento. For those who spent their childhood in the countryside, it represents a treasure trove of indelible memories that unfold as soon as their gaze lands on a cultivated field or a stretch of grass. However, beneath the surface of an apparently tranquil landscape lie violent forces ready to explode at any moment, to which is added the brutality of History, which spares even the most remote village. Such is the representation of the countryside that emerges from the works of Cesare Pavese, one of the most significant authors of the Italian literary scene of the twentieth century. This book offers a study on the conception of the countryside of the Piedmontese writer, outlining a trajectory that goes from Paesi tuoi to La luna e i falò.''

Für diejenigen, die ihre Kindheit auf dem Land verbracht haben, stellt sie eine Schatztruhe von unauslöschlichen Erinnerungen dar, die sich öffnen, sobald der Blick auf ein Ackerfeld oder eine Wiese fällt.
