Il compositore, produttore e chitarrista Isaac de Martin / IKE incontra i maestri della musica classica indiana Deobrat Mishra al sitar e Prashant Mishra alle tabla.
Un incontro tra Banaras Gharana, jazz, elettronica e improvvisazione, dove chitarra elettrica, sitar, ta- bla, sintetizzatori, flauto e batteria costruiscono paesaggi sonori evocativi e inesplorati.
IKE, formato tra chitarra classica, jazz e produzione elettronica, sviluppa da anni una ricerca musica- le aperta a diverse culture e linguaggi.
La collaborazione con i due Mishra nasce nel percorso verso “Tabuterra”, il suo quarto album in uscita nel 2027 per la londinese Wah Wah 45s.
Deobrat Mishra, undicesima generazione della prestigiosa scuola di Benares e figlio del leggendario maestro di sitar Pandit Shivnath Mishra, è uno dei più importanti interpreti contemporanei di sitar e surbahar. La sua ricerca unisce la tradizione del Banaras Gharana a una personale ricerca di contami- nazioni.
Prashant Mishra, appartenente a una storica famiglia musicale di Benares, è interprete di tabla forma- to nella tradizione della Banaras Gharana. Ha suonato in India e nei principali festival internazionali.

An encounter between Banaras Gharana, jazz, electronics, and improvisation, where electric guitar, sitar, tabla, synthesizers, flute, and drums create evocative and uncharted soundscapes.
IKE, trained in classical guitar, jazz, and electronic production, has been developing a musical research open to different cultures and languages for years.
The collaboration with the two Mishras arises in the journey towards "Tabuterra," his fourth album set to be released in 2027 by the London-based Wah Wah 45s.
Deobrat Mishra, the eleventh generation of the prestigious Benares school and son of the legendary sitar master Pandit Shivnath Mishra, is one of the most important contemporary sitar and surbahar performers. His research combines the tradition of the Banaras Gharana with a personal exploration of contaminations.
Prashant Mishra, belonging to a historic musical family from Benares, is a tabla performer trained in the tradition of the Banaras Gharana. He has played in India and at major international festivals.

The concert will be preceded by the introduction "Listening to Sound: Rāga, rasa, and the philosophy of musical experience in India," curated by Indologist Giulia Buriola Meneghin and Yoga Integrated Method.

Ein Treffen zwischen Banaras Gharana, Jazz, Elektronik und Improvisation, wo E-Gitarre, Sitar, Tabla, Synthesizer, Flöte und Schlagzeug eine evocative und unerforschte Klanglandschaften schaffen.
