Sono trascorsi ormai più di 100 anni da quando la Partita a Scacchi di Marostica è stata giocata per la prima volta, ma ancor’oggi l’emozione si rinnova ad ogni spettacolo con il sapore antico di una storia d’amore senza tempo.
Ogni due anni, nella suggestiva Piazza degli Scacchi, oltre 650 figuranti in splendidi costumi d’epoca danno vita a una leggendaria storia d’amore, ambientata a metà del ‘400.
Nata dal libretto teatrale di Mirko Vucetich, la Partita racconta la vicenda della bella Lionora, figlia del castellano, la cui mano è decisa da una gara di scacchi.
Da un lato, centinaia di cittadini danno vita a una rappresentazione corale senza eguali; dall’altro, una produzione teatrale all’avanguardia, con scenografie spettacolari, tecnologie avanzate, luci e suoni che avvolgono il pubblico in un'atmosfera magica.
Nello scenario delle mura cittadine, con il Castello Inferiore a fare da fondale, un grande anfiteatro con 3600 posti numerati ospita il pubblico per quattro serate indimenticabili.

It has been more than 100 years since the Chess Game of Marostica was played for the first time, but even today the excitement is renewed with each performance, carrying the ancient flavor of a timeless love story.
Every two years, in the enchanting Piazza degli Scacchi, over 650 performers in beautiful period costumes bring to life a legendary love story set in the mid-15th century.
Born from the theatrical script of Mirko Vucetich, the Game tells the tale of the beautiful Lionora, daughter of the castellan, whose hand is determined by a game of chess.
On one side, hundreds of citizens create a unique choral representation; on the other, a cutting-edge theatrical production, with spectacular sets, advanced technologies, lights, and sounds that envelop the audience in a magical atmosphere.
In the backdrop of the city walls, with the Lower Castle providing the scenery, a large amphitheater with 3600 numbered seats welcomes the audience for four unforgettable evenings.

Es sind jetzt über 100 Jahre vergangen, seit das Schachspiel von Marostica zum ersten Mal gespielt wurde, aber auch heute wird die Aufregung bei jeder Aufführung neu entfacht, mit dem antiken Geschmack einer zeitlosen Liebesgeschichte.
Alle zwei Jahre erwecken in der malerischen Piazza degli Scacchi über 650 Darsteller in prächtigen historischen Kostümen eine legendäre Liebesgeschichte zum Leben, die im Mittelalter des 15. Jahrhunderts spielt.
Entstanden aus dem Theaterlibretto von Mirko Vucetich erzählt das Spiel die Geschichte der schönen Lionora, Tochter des Burgherrn, deren Hand durch ein Schachspiel entschieden wird.
Auf der einen Seite erwecken Hunderte von Bürgern eine unvergleichliche choralische Darbietung zum Leben; auf der anderen Seite eine hochmoderne Theaterproduktion mit spektakulären Kulissen, fortschrittlicher Technologie, Licht und Klang, die das Publikum in eine magische Atmosphäre hüllt.
Vor der Kulisse der Stadtmauern, mit dem Unteren Schloss als Hintergrund, bietet ein großes Amphitheater mit 3600 nummerierten Plätzen das Publikum für vier unvergessliche Abende.
