Prendendo il nome dall’edera — una pianta antica e familiare, che attraversa secoli e culture aggrappandosi a ciò che incontra, abbracciando e custodendo — EDERA riflette su questo gesto di attaccamento come forma di cura. Allestita tra le mura storiche del Castello Superiore, la mostra porta nuova linfa vitale nei suoi spazi, proprio come l’edera che rimargina la pietra. Allo stesso modo, l’arte si insinua tra le fratture del nostro territorio, offrendo attenzione, respiro e riparazione.
Gli artisti invitati — Alberto Scodro, Giulio Polloniato, Link Hg, Lucia Bonomo, Riccardo Rizzetto e Sandro Bonomo — instaurano un dialogo intimo con il paesaggio locale: un luogo sospeso tra precarietà e stupore; talvolta un abisso, talvolta un terreno quieto di relazioni, chiarezza e piccole meraviglie. EDERA diventa così uno specchio di ciò che siamo: delle nostre contraddizioni, tradizioni, memorie e speranze che abitano le cave delle montagne, i letti dei fiumi e i sussurri delle colline.

Taking its name from ivy — an ancient and familiar plant that traverses centuries and cultures by clinging to what it encounters, embracing and safeguarding — EDERA reflects on this gesture of attachment as a form of care. Set within the historic walls of the Upper Castle, the exhibition breathes new life into its spaces, just as ivy heals the stone. Similarly, art weaves through the fractures of our territory, offering attention, breath, and repair.
The invited artists — Alberto Scodro, Giulio Polloniato, Link Hg, Lucia Bonomo, Riccardo Rizzetto, and Sandro Bonomo — establish an intimate dialogue with the local landscape: a place suspended between precariousness and wonder; sometimes an abyss, sometimes a quiet ground of relationships, clarity, and small marvels. EDERA thus becomes a mirror of who we are: our contradictions, traditions, memories, and hopes that inhabit the caves of the mountains, the beds of rivers, and the whispers of the hills.

EDERA, benannt nach dem Efeu – einer alten und vertrauten Pflanze, die sich über Jahrhunderte und Kulturen hinweg an das klammert, was sie trifft, umarmt und bewahrt – reflektiert über diese Geste der Bindung als eine Form der Fürsorge. Die Ausstellung, die zwischen den historischen Mauern des Oberen Schlosses installiert ist, bringt neues Leben in seine Räume, so wie der Efeu den Stein heilt. Ebenso dringt die Kunst in die Ritzen unseres Territoriums ein, bietet Aufmerksamkeit, Atem und Heilung.
Die eingeladenen Künstler – Alberto Scodro, Giulio Polloniato, Link Hg, Lucia Bonomo, Riccardo Rizzetto und Sandro Bonomo – schaffen einen intimen Dialog mit der lokalen Landschaft: ein Ort, der zwischen Prekarität und Staunen schwebt; manchmal ein Abgrund, manchmal ein stiller Boden voller Beziehungen, Klarheit und kleiner Wunder. EDERA wird somit zu einem Spiegel dessen, was wir sind: unserer Widersprüche, Traditionen, Erinnerungen und Hoffnungen, die in den Steinbrüchen der Berge, den Flussbetten und den Flüstern der Hügel wohnen.
