In occasione della ricorrenza dell’incendio che il 30 luglio 1855 distrusse l’antico abitato, Contenuto Rimosso propone ogni anno, dal 2012, l’interruzione dell’illuminazione pubblica e l’installazione di fuochi, candele e torce nel quartiere del Quadrato di Lorenzago di Cadore.
La serata del 30 luglio prevede momenti di convivialità, arte e approfondimento culturale con ospiti invitati e la partecipazione attiva delle realtà associative locali.
Nel corso degli anni Contenuto Rimosso è diventato per Lorenzago un appuntamento atteso e una ricorrenza consolidata.
Oggi fa parte del calendario delle festività locali tra le più sentite e partecipate, rappresentando un importante momento di incontro per la comunità di Lorenzago, per i paesi limitrofi e per l’intero territorio cadorino.
Allo stesso tempo, il progetto rappresenta un caso studio di interesse accademico, sollevando questioni centrali nel dibattito critico sul rapporto fra arte, spazio pubblico e territori.
Dal 2025 il progetto comprende un programma di ricerca artistica condotto da Chiara Trivelli, che coinvolge studenti universitari e neolaureati, e una serie di eventi collegati nella settimana che precede il 30 luglio.
Un ulteriore aspetto rilevante riguarda gli esiti editoriali del progetto.
Oltre alla letteratura scientifica che si sta sviluppando attorno a Contenuto Rimosso, quest’anno sarà presentata una seconda pubblicazione, intitolata Costellazione Lorenzago, nell’ambito dell’avvio di una collana editoriale annuale interamente dedicata al progetto.
Il programma di Contenuto Rimosso 2026 prende avvio venerdì 24 luglio alle ore 15.00 con Esplorare i toponimi ladini, un’escursione a cura di Angela Bosin, partecipante al programma di ricerca artistica, con lo storico locale Gianpietro De Donà e la sezione CAI di Lorenzago di Cadore.
Lunedì 27 luglio, alle ore 18.00, il Giardino del Quadrato ospiterà Cantare al vento, con Chiara Sibilla, partecipante al programma di ricerca artistica, e la Schola Cantorum Lorenzago, che proporranno un’esecuzione sperimentale di un brano del repertorio tradizionale del coro.
Mercoledì 29 luglio, alle ore 18.00, sempre al Giardino del Quadrato, si terrà "Condurre un’assemblea pubblica con un ciocco di legno", un’assemblea pubblica e aperta alla cittadinanza condotta dal Comitato 30 luglio secondo le modalità proposte da Chiara Porzio, partecipante al programma di ricerca artistica.
Giovedì 30 luglio sarà la giornata principale della quindicesima edizione, con il tradizionale appuntamento nel Quadrato di Lorenzago.
Alle ore 18.00 verrà presentato il libro Costellazione Lorenzago di Chiara Trivelli, edito da DBS Edizioni, con la partecipazione di Marco D’Ambros, sindaco di Lorenzago di Cadore, Barbara D’Ambrosio, storica dell’arte e curatrice, e delle partecipanti al programma di ricerca artistica.
Dalle ore 19.00 il Quadrato accoglierà le postazioni di ANA – Associazione Nazionale Alpini, CAI – Club Alpino Italiano, Donatori di Sangue, Riserva Alpina di Caccia e Schola Cantorum Lorenzago, dove sarà possibile condividere cibi e bevande.
Alle ore 19.30 si terrà la performance "Abitare una soglia", di Martina Zito, tra le partecipanti al programma di ricerca artistica, con il Gruppo Danza Auronzo.
Dalle ore 20.00 il centro estivo Oltrepiave Camp proporrà attività didattiche dedicate a bambine e bambini dai 4 ai 10 anni.

On the occasion of the anniversary of the fire that destroyed the ancient settlement on July 30, 1855, Contenuto Rimosso proposes every year since 2012 the interruption of public lighting and the installation of fires, candles, and torches in the neighborhood of the Quadrato di Lorenzago di Cadore.
The evening of July 30 includes moments of conviviality, art, and cultural deepening with invited guests and the active participation of local associations.
Over the years, Contenuto Rimosso has become a much-anticipated event for Lorenzago and a consolidated anniversary.
Today it is part of the calendar of the most felt and participated local festivities, representing an important moment of gathering for the community of Lorenzago, the neighboring towns, and the entire Cadorino territory.
At the same time, the project represents a case study of academic interest, raising central questions in the critical debate about the relationship between art, public space, and territories.
Starting from 2025, the project includes an artistic research program led by Chiara Trivelli, involving university students and recent graduates, and a series of related events in the week leading up to July 30.
Another relevant aspect concerns the editorial outcomes of the project.
In addition to the scientific literature that is developing around Contenuto Rimosso, this year a second publication titled Costellazione Lorenzago will be presented, as part of the launch of an annual editorial series entirely dedicated to the project.
The Contenuto Rimosso 2026 program starts on Friday, July 24 at 3:00 p.m. with Exploring Ladin Place Names, a hike organized by Angela Bosin, a participant in the artistic research program, with local historian Gianpietro De Donà and the CAI section of Lorenzago di Cadore.
Monday, July 27, at 6:00 p.m., the Giardino del Quadrato will host Singing to the Wind, featuring Chiara Sibilla, a participant in the artistic research program, and the Schola Cantorum Lorenzago, who will present an experimental performance of a piece from the traditional choir repertoire.
Wednesday, July 29, at 6:00 p.m., also at the Giardino del Quadrato, there will be “Conducting a Public Meeting with a Log”, a public assembly open to citizens led by the Committee of July 30 according to the methods proposed by Chiara Porzio, a participant in the artistic research program.
Thursday, July 30 will be the main day of the fifteenth edition, with the traditional gathering in the Quadrato di Lorenzago.
At 6:00 p.m., the book Costellazione Lorenzago by Chiara Trivelli, published by DBS Edizioni, will be presented, with the participation of Marco D’Ambros, the mayor of Lorenzago di Cadore, Barbara D’Ambrosio, an art historian and curator, and the participants in the artistic research program.
From 7:00 p.m. onwards, the Quadrato will host booths from ANA – Associazione Nazionale Alpini, CAI – Club Alpino Italiano, Blood Donors, Alpine Hunting Reserve, and Schola Cantorum Lorenzago, where food and drinks will be shared.
At 7:30 p.m., the performance "Inhabiting a Threshold", by Martina Zito, among the participants in the artistic research program, will take place with the Gruppo Danza Auronzo.

Anlässlich des Jahrestages des Brandes, der am 30. Juli 1855 die alte Siedlung zerstörte, schlägt Contenuto Rimosso seit 2012 jährlich die Unterbrechung der öffentlichen Beleuchtung und die Installation von Feuer, Kerzen und Fackeln im Viertel Quadrato in Lorenzago di Cadore vor.
Der Abend des 30. Juli bietet Momente der Geselligkeit, Kunst und kulturelle Vertiefung mit eingeladenen Gästen und der aktiven Teilnahme lokaler Vereine.
Im Laufe der Jahre ist Contenuto Rimosso zu einem erwarteten Ereignis für Lorenzago und einer etablierten Tradition geworden.
Heute gehört es zu den am stärksten empfundenen und besuchten Festen im Kalender der lokalen Feiertage und stellt einen wichtigen Begegnungsmoment für die Gemeinde Lorenzago, die umliegenden Dörfer und das gesamte Gebiet von Cadore dar.
Gleichzeitig stellt das Projekt einen interessanten Fall für akademische Studien dar, indem es zentrale Fragen im kritischen Diskurs über die Beziehung zwischen Kunst, öffentlichem Raum und Territorien aufwirft.
Ab 2025 umfasst das Projekt ein von Chiara Trivelli geleitetes künstlerisches Forschungsprogramm, das Universitätsstudenten und Absolventen einbezieht, sowie eine Reihe von Veranstaltungen in der Woche vor dem 30. Juli.
Ein weiterer relevanter Aspekt betrifft die Publikationsergebnisse des Projekts.
Zusätzlich zur wissenschaftlichen Literatur, die sich um Contenuto Rimosso entwickelt, wird in diesem Jahr eine zweite Publikation mit dem Titel Costellazione Lorenzago vorgestellt, im Rahmen der Einführung einer jährlichen Buchreihe, die vollständig dem Projekt gewidmet ist.
Das Programm von Contenuto Rimosso 2026 beginnt Freitag, 24. Juli um 15.00 Uhr mit "Die Erforschung der ladinischen Toponyme", einer Wanderung unter der Leitung von Angela Bosin, Teilnehmerin am künstlerischen Forschungsprogramm, mit dem lokalen Historiker Gianpietro De Donà und der CAI-Sektion Lorenzago di Cadore.
Montag, 27. Juli um 18.00 Uhr wird der Giardino del Quadrato "Singen im Wind" mit Chiara Sibilla, Teilnehmerin am künstlerischen Forschungsprogramm, und der Schola Cantorum Lorenzago beherbergen, die eine experimentelle Aufführung eines traditionellen Choralstücks anbieten werden.
Mittwoch, 29. Juli um 18.00 Uhr, ebenfalls im Giardino del Quadrato, findet "Eine öffentliche Versammlung mit einem Holzstück leiten" statt, eine öffentliche Versammlung, die offen für die Bürger ist und vom Komitee 30. Juli gemäß den von Chiara Porzio, Teilnehmerin am künstlerischen Forschungsprogramm, vorgeschlagenen Modalitäten geleitet wird.
Donnerstag, 30. Juli wird der Haupttag der fünfzehnten Ausgabe sein, mit dem traditionellen Termin im Quadrato von Lorenzago.
Um 18.00 Uhr wird das Buch "Costellazione Lorenzago" von Chiara Trivelli, veröffentlicht von DBS Edizioni, vorgestellt, mit der Teilnahme von Marco D’Ambros, Bürgermeister von Lorenzago di Cadore, Barbara D’Ambrosio, Kunsthistorikerin und Kuratorin, sowie den Teilnehmerinnen des künstlerischen Forschungsprogramms.
Ab 19.00 Uhr wird der Quadrato die Stände von ANA – Nationalen Alpenvereinigung, CAI – Italienischem Alpenverein, Blutspendern, Alpenwildreservat und Schola Cantorum Lorenzago beherbergen, wo es möglich sein wird, Speisen und Getränke zu teilen.
Um 19.30 Uhr findet die Performance "Eine Schwelle bewohnen" von Martina Zito, einer der Teilnehmerinnen am künstlerischen Forschungsprogramm, mit der Tanzgruppe Auronzo statt.
