Domenica 22 marzo 2026 lo IAT di Lonigo vi invita a partecipare a un Tour Guidato alla Rocca Pisana, straordinario capolavoro del Rinascimento Veneto.

Il tour partirà dalla Rocca Pisana che sorge a Lonigo sopra una collina dalla quale domina la pianura vicentina. Questo distacco dalla “vita sottostante”, unita alla simbiosi tra edificio, che si apre verso il cielo e verso il bosco, e natura circostante trasmettono al visitatore la sensazione di essere all'interno della Rocca e al tempo stesso all'esterno, immerso nella natura, con un immediato effetto benefico, rasserenante e rilassante. In questo senso una giornata in questo luogo antico può essere definita “un’esperienza terapeutica“. La Rocca, datata 1546, non fu costruita come abitazione principale, ma per “diporto in aria più sana”, lontana dalla pianura maleodorante e infestata dalle zanzare.
Nel trattato "La idea dell’architettura universale ", in cui descrive le caratteristiche architettoniche della villa, l'architetto Vicenzo Scamozzi racconta infatti che “Signor Vettor Pisani…gentilhuomo di molto giudicio, e generosità d’animo”, nonostante avesse già fabriche in fraterna ne’ poderi di Bagnoli, volse nondimeno edificar da sé, per aver luogo presso Lonigo, per diporto in aria più sana”

The tour will start from the Rocca Pisana, which rises in Lonigo on a hill overlooking the Vicentine plain. This detachment from the “underlying life,” combined with the symbiosis between the building, which opens towards the sky and the forest, and the surrounding nature gives the visitor the sensation of being inside the Rocca and simultaneously outside, immersed in nature, with an immediate beneficial, soothing, and relaxing effect. In this sense, a day in this ancient place can be defined as “a therapeutic experience.” The Rocca, dated 1546, was not built as a main residence, but for “recreation in healthier air,” far from the smelly plain infested with mosquitoes.

Im Werk "Die Idee der universellen Architektur" beschreibt der Architekt Vicenzo Scamozzi die architektonischen Merkmale der Villa und erzählt, dass “Herr Vettor Pisani… ein Edelmann von großem Urteil und seelischer Großzügigkeit”, obwohl er bereits Fabriken in den zehnten Besitzungen in Bagnoli hatte, dennoch für sich selbst errichten wollte, um einen Ort bei Lonigo zu haben, für Freizeit in gesünderer Luft.”
