La gara è sempre stata l'anima delle feste popolari estive. Prima consisteva nell'arrampicarsi su un alto palo di legno conficcato saldamente nel terreno, alla sommità del quale erano appesi dei trofei, solitamente di tipo alimentare come salami o prosciutti.
Essendo un popolo di lago, gli abitanti di Lazise hanno trasformato il palo verticale in un palo orizzontale ben igrassato posto sull'angolo del porto antico con una bandiera all'estremità, la quale bisogna staccare e tenere in mano durante il conseguente tuffo in acqua per poter reclamare il premio.
Questa gara è diventata una delle manifestazioni più caratteristiche di Lazise e del lago e consiste nel percorrere di corsa il palo, impregnato di grasso, a piedi nudi per riuscire a staccare la bandierina collocata sulla punta. Da sempre i buteloti, i giovanotti di Lazise, amano cimentarsi in questa gara, esilarante per gli spettatori ma non sempre indolore per i partecipanti.
Alla fine della serata alle 22:45 ci sarà uno spettacolo di droni luminosi sul Lungolago Marconi / Porto Vecchio.

The competition has always been the soul of summer folk festivals. It used to consist of climbing a tall wooden pole securely buried in the ground, at the top of which hung trophies, usually food items like salami or hams.
Being a lake-dwelling people, the inhabitants of Lazise have transformed the vertical pole into a horizontal pole well-greased, placed at the corner of the old harbor with a flag at its tip, which one must detach and hold during the subsequent dive into the water to claim the prize.
This competition has become one of the most characteristic events of Lazise and the lake and consists of running along the pole, coated in grease, barefoot to succeed in detaching the flag placed at the tip. For as long as anyone can remember, the buteloti, the young men of Lazise, have enjoyed challenging themselves in this competition, exhilarating for the spectators but not always painless for the participants.
At the end of the evening at 10:45 p.m., there will be a show of illuminated drones on Lungolago Marconi / Porto Vecchio.

Das Rennen war schon immer die Seele der traditionellen Sommerfeste. Zunächst bestand es darin, auf einen hohen, fest im Boden verankerten Holzpfahl zu klettern, an dessen Spitze Trophäen hingen, gewöhnlich Nahrungsmittel wie Salami oder Schinken.
Als Menschen am See haben die Bewohner von Lazise den vertikalen Pfahl in einen wassergeschmierten Horizontalpfahl verwandelt, der an der Ecke des alten Hafens steht, mit einer Fahne an der Spitze, die man abreißen und in der Hand halten muss, während man in das Wasser springt, um den Preis zu beanspruchen.
Dieses Rennen ist zu einer der charakteristischsten Veranstaltungen von Lazise und dem See geworden und besteht darin, den fetten Pfahl barfuß zu überqueren , um die Fahne an der Spitze zu erreichen. Seit jeher lieben es die Buteloti, die jungen Leute aus Lazise, sich in diesem Rennen zu messen, das für die Zuschauer aufregend, aber für die Teilnehmer nicht immer schmerzlos ist.
Am Ende des Abends um 22:45 Uhr wird es eine Show mit leuchtenden Drohnen an der Lungolago Marconi / Porto Vecchio geben.
