L'altopiano di Lamon, lembo estremo del Feltrino Occidentale, si estende alle soglie delle Dolomiti confinato ad Est dalla profonda incisione del Torrente Cismon e attorniato da rilievi montuosi e collinari che lo separano dall'area del Tesino e della Valsugana.
Il territorio, romanizzato intorno al I secolo d.C., era attraversato dalla Via Claudia Augusta, una strada militare che collegava Altino con la Rezia. Il suo percorso era disseminato di fortificazioni, una delle quali molto probabilmente sorgeva sul Colle di San Pietro, dove venne poi edificata l’omonima chiesa parrocchiale.
Nella zona di San Donato questa presenza è stata confermata con il ritrovamento nel 1836 del "Calice del Diacono Orso", il calice eucaristico più antico dell'occidente cristiano. In località Piasentot si sono poi rinvenuti, recentemente, i resti di una necropoli tardoromana oggetto di una vasta campagna di scavi archeologici che ha permesso di riesumare oltre 80 sepolture con annesso corredo funerario costituito da orecchini, collane, fibule, monete.
Ed è in questi luoghi che si svolge il trail che si compone di tre prove di corsa in ambiente di media montagna:
50K Sky running competitiva presenta di circa 40 chilometri e un dislivello positivo di circa 2500 metri.
20K Competitiva con un percorso ad anello di circa 21 chilometri e un dislivello positivo di circa 1200 metri
20K Short Trial competitiva con certificato medico sportivo ed anche NON competitiva presenta un percorso ad anello di circa 14 chilometri e un dislivello positivo di circa 800 metri
The Lamon Plateau, the extreme edge of the Western Feltrino, stretches at the foot of the Dolomites, bordered to the east by the deep incision of the Cismon River and surrounded by mountainous and hilly terrains that separate it from the Tesino and Valsugana areas.
The territory, romanized around the 1st century AD, was traversed by the Via Claudia Augusta, a military road that connected Altino to Rezia. Its path was scattered with fortifications, one of which most likely stood on the Colle di San Pietro, where the church of the same name was later built.
In the San Donato area, this presence was confirmed with the discovery in 1836 of the "Chalice of Deacon Orso", the oldest eucharistic chalice in Christianity's west. Recently, in the Piasentot locality, the remains of a late Roman necropolis have been found, subject to a vast campaign of archaeological digs that allowed the exhumation of over 80 burials accompanied by funerary equipment consisting of earrings, necklaces, fibulae, and coins.
And it is in these locations that the trail takes place, consisting of three tests of running in a medium mountain environment:
50K Competitive sky running features a course of approximately 40 kilometers and a positive elevation gain of about 2500 meters.
20K Competitive with a loop course of approximately 21 kilometers and a positive elevation gain of about 1200 meters.
20K Short Trail competitive with a sports medical certificate and also NON-competitive features a loop course of approximately 14 kilometers and a positive elevation gain of about 800 meters.
Das Hochland von Lamon, äußerster Zipfel des Westfeltrino, erstreckt sich an den Schwellen der Dolomiten, im Osten begrenzt von der tiefen Einschnitten des Cismonflusses und umgeben von bergigen und hügeligen Erhebungen, die es vom Gebiet des Tesino und der Valsugana trennen.
Das Gebiet, das um das 1. Jahrhundert n. Chr. romanisiert wurde, wurde von der Via Claudia Augusta durchzogen, einer Militärstraße, die Altino mit der Rezia verband. Ihr Verlauf war mit Befestigungen gespickt, von denen eine sehr wahrscheinlich auf dem Colle di San Pietro stand, wo später die gleichnamige Pfarrkirche errichtet wurde.
In der Gegend von San Donato wurde diese Präsenz mit dem Fund des "Kelchs des Diakons Orso" im Jahr 1836 bestätigt, dem ältesten eucharistischen Kelch des christlichen Abendlandes. In der Lokalität Piasentot wurden kürzlich die Überreste einer spätromanischen Nekropole gefunden, die Gegenstand einer umfassenden archäologischen Ausgrabungskampagne war, die es ermöglichte, über 80 Bestattungen mit dazugehöriger Grabbeigabe wie Ohrringen, Halsketten, Fibeln und Münzen zu bestatten.
Und es sind in diesen Orten, wo der Trail stattfindet, der aus drei Wettkämpfen im Berglauf in einem Mittelgebirgsumfeld besteht:
