Un viaggio nella storia dell’alimentazione per riscoprire abitudini, sapori e tradizioni che hanno attraversato i secoli e contribuito a definire la cultura del territorio.
Domenica 11 ottobre 2026, alle ore 16, alle Case Dal Cin, presso la Chiesa di San Biagio a Bayer, nel territorio di Pianzano, si tiene l’incontro con il professor Danilo Gasparini, docente di Storia dell’Alimentazione all’Università di Padova e autore del volume Dal banchetto alla sagra. Mangiare e bere nelle Venezie tra Medioevo ed età contemporanea.
Attraverso il racconto e la ricerca storica, Gasparini accompagna il pubblico alla scoperta del modo in cui si è trasformato il rapporto con il cibo nelle Venezie, dal Medioevo fino all’età contemporanea. Un percorso tra banchetti, feste, sagre e tradizioni gastronomiche che permette di leggere la storia anche attraverso ciò che si porta in tavola, mettendo in luce il profondo legame tra alimentazione, società e identità culturale.
L’incontro, organizzato dall’Associazione Culturale Borgo Bayer ODV in collaborazione con la Libreria Il Punto di Vittorio Veneto, è a ingresso libero. Un’occasione per conoscere più da vicino un patrimonio fatto non solo di ricette e prodotti, ma anche di gesti, consuetudini e memorie che continuano a vivere nella cultura veneta.

Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., at Case Dal Cin, near the Church of San Biagio in Bayer, in the Pianzano area, there will be a meeting with Professor Danilo Gasparini, professor of the History of Food at the University of Padova and author of the volume From Banquets to Festivals. Eating and Drinking in the Veneto from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary Age.
Through storytelling and historical research, Gasparini guides the audience in discovering how the relationship with food in the Veneto has transformed from the Middle Ages to the contemporary age. A journey through banquets, parties, festivals, and gastronomic traditions that allows one to read history through what is served at the table, highlighting the deep connection between food, society, and cultural identity.
The meeting, organized by the Borgo Bayer ODV Cultural Association in collaboration with the Il Punto Bookshop of Vittorio Veneto, is free of charge. An opportunity to get to know more closely a heritage made not only of recipes and products but also of gestures, customs, and memories that continue to live on in Venetian culture.

Sonntag, den 11. Oktober 2026, um 16 Uhr, in den Case Dal Cin, bei der Kirche San Biagio in Bayer, im Gebiet von Pianzano, findet das Treffen mit Professor Danilo Gasparini, Dozent für Geschichte der Ernährung an der Universität Padua und Autor des Werkes Vom Festmahl zum Fest. Essen und Trinken in den Venetien vom Mittelalter bis zur Gegenwart, statt.
Durch Erzählung und historische Forschung begleitet Gasparini das Publikum auf der Entdeckungsreise, wie sich das Verhältnis zur Nahrung in den Venetien vom Mittelalter bis zur Gegenwart verändert hat. Ein Weg zwischen Festmählern, Feiern, Festen und gastronomischen Traditionen, der es ermöglicht, die Geschichte auch durch das, was auf den Tisch kommt, zu lesen und die tiefen Verbindungen zwischen Ernährung, Gesellschaft und kultureller Identität zu beleuchten.
Das Treffen, organisiert von der Kulturellen Vereinigung Borgo Bayer ODV in Zusammenarbeit mit der Buchhandlung Il Punto di Vittorio Veneto, ist kostenlos. Eine Gelegenheit, ein Erbe näher kennenzulernen, das nicht nur aus Rezepten und Produkten besteht, sondern auch aus Gesten, Gewohnheiten und Erinnerungen, die weiterhin in der venetischen Kultur leben.
