Descrizione
Sono state molte, e sempre belle, le occasioni di trovarci in tanti per dipingere a fresco, in diverse località in Italia e fuori, in serena armonia, con la gioia di praticare “il sesto grado” della pittura.
Questa volta proponiamo un incontro senza lavoro, ma con il grande piacere di trovarci a tavola tra vecchi amici e raccontarci chissà quante cose e magari esporre nuovi progetti.

Vico Calabrò
Nato ad Agordo (BL) nel 1938 e residente a Caldogno (VI), è un artista poliedrico che si muove con padronanza tra le diverse tecniche grafiche e pittoriche. Le sue opere spaziano da una trasognata serenità a una graffiante ironia, talvolta affrontando anche tematiche di impegno sociale.
La sua carriera di disegnatore lo ha visto collaborare con numerosi autori contemporanei per l’illustrazione di libri, oltre a contribuire a varie riviste e periodici. In ambito grafico, Vico si è formato nella stamperia d’arte Busato di Vicenza, dove ha realizzato centinaia di matrici per calcografia e litografia, seguendo personalmente tirature destinate a editori e galleristi.
La sua produzione artistica comprende anche numerosi dipinti murali in Italia e all’estero, presenti in sedi private e pubbliche in Francia, Germania, Giappone, Olanda, Polonia, Romania, Brasile, Malta e Bulgaria. Grazie alla sua lunga esperienza nella pittura a fresco, è stato spesso invitato da scuole e centri d’arte prestigiosi, tra cui il Centro Europeo di San Servolo a Venezia, le Accademie di Belle Arti di Verona, Vibo Valentia, Varsavia e Lodz (PL), Utrecht (NL), Olot (E) e San Luis Potosi (MX), oltre al Centro Culturale Koto-ku di Tokyo, il Club Art 2000 di Malta, il Venetie Comité di ‘s-Hertogenbosch (NL), la Kultury Dom di Jaslo (PL) e l’Istituto Tzanco Lavrenov di Plovdiv (BG).
Vico Calabrò ha svolto un ruolo centrale in importanti progetti di murales, coordinando le opere a Cibiana di Cadore (BL) e alla Casa degli Affreschi di Facen di Pedavena (BL). Ha fondato il Laboratorio Internazionale dell’Affresco a Treglio (Ch) e promosso il Festiwal Fresku a Zamosc (PL). In suo onore, a Mariampol (PL) è stato intitolato il Labirynt Fresku, un progetto che raccoglie 50 affreschi realizzati da artisti internazionali.
There have been many, and always beautiful, occasions to gather in large numbers to paint frescoes, in various locations in Italy and abroad, in serene harmony, with the joy of practicing "the sixth degree" of painting.
This time we propose a meeting without work, but with the great pleasure of finding ourselves at the table among old friends and sharing who knows how many stories and perhaps presenting new projects.

Vico Calabrò
Born in Agordo (BL) in 1938 and residing in Caldogno (VI), he is a versatile artist who moves with mastery between different graphic and painting techniques. His works range from dreamily serene to sharply ironic, sometimes addressing themes of social commitment.
His career as a designer has seen him collaborate with numerous contemporary authors for book illustrations, in addition to contributing to various magazines and periodicals. In the graphic field, Vico trained at the Busato art print shop in Vicenza, where he created hundreds of matrices for etching and lithography, personally overseeing print runs intended for publishers and gallery owners.
His artistic production also includes numerous murals in Italy and abroad, present in private and public venues in France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Brazil, Malta, and Bulgaria. Thanks to his long experience in fresco painting, he has often been invited by prestigious schools and art centers, including the European Centre of San Servolo in Venice, the Academies of Fine Arts of Verona, Vibo Valentia, Warsaw, and Lodz (PL), Utrecht (NL), Olot (E), and San Luis Potosi (MX), as well as the Koto-ku Cultural Center in Tokyo, the Art 2000 Club in Malta, the Venetie Comité in 's-Hertogenbosch (NL), the Kultury Dom in Jaslo (PL), and the Tzanco Lavrenov Institute in Plovdiv (BG).
Vico Calabrò has played a central role in important mural projects, coordinating works in Cibiana di Cadore (BL) and at the Casa degli Affreschi in Facen di Pedavena (BL). Es gab viele und immer schöne Gelegenheiten, uns zu treffen, um Fresken zu malen, an verschiedenen Orten in Italien und anderswo, in harmonischer Gelassenheit, mit der Freude, die „sechste Stufe“ der Malerei zu praktizieren.
Diesmal schlagen wir ein Treffen ohne Arbeit vor, aber mit der großen Freude, am Tisch unter alten Freunden zu sein und uns unzählige Geschichten zu erzählen und vielleicht neue Projekte vorzustellen.

Im grafischen Bereich hat Vico an der Kunstdruckerei Busato in Vicenza gelernt, wo er Hunderte von Matrizen für die Radierung und Lithografie erstellt hat, wobei er persönlich Auflagen für Verlage und Galeristen überwacht hat.
Seine künstlerische Produktion umfasst auch zahlreiche Wandgemälde in Italien und im Ausland, die in privaten und öffentlichen Einrichtungen in Frankreich, Deutschland, Japan, den Niederlanden, Polen, Rumänien, Brasilien, Malta und Bulgarien zu finden sind.
