Raccontare le fasi più significative della vita del Santo tratte dalla Vita Prima di Francesco di Tommaso da Celano, primo biografo del Santo e uomo di rilevante cultura ecclesiastica, è un’esperienza toccante.
Questa fonte, destinata alla comunità tutta della chiesa, sa cogliere i valori ascetici dell’”uomo Francesco”, mettendo sempre in primo piano la sua solida e determinante impostazione evangelica; il linguaggio utilizzato esprime l’eleganza di uno stile che incrocia immagini poetiche con espressioni scelte.
Intrecciare al racconto, talvolta come sfondo sonoro talaltra a mo’ di commento ai fatti, l’ascolto di musiche del tempo rafforza la parola e invita a sostare nel tempo.
Immergersi di episodio in episodio nella proiezione di immagini tratte dal ciclo di affreschi della Basilica Superiore di Assisi, a firma di Giotto e omonima scuola, ispirato al testo della Legenda maior di Bonaventura di Bagnoregio, che per i frati costituiva la biografia “ufficiale” di Francesco, fa della proposta un vero viaggio contemplativo.
