Nell’estate 2025, le Ville Venete ospitano due appuntamenti musicali d’eccezione con protagonisti giovani musicisti provenienti dal Regno Unito.
Martedì 24 giugno, a Villa Widmann di Mira (VE), si esibirà il Senior Choir della British School of Brussels, diretto da Christi-Ann Nancarrow.
Il coro, composto da studenti internazionali di talento, porterà in scena un repertorio che spazia dai classici del jazz (“My Funny Valentine”, “Come Fly with Me”) alla musica pop contemporanea (“Chasing Cars”, “Easy on Me”), in un concerto frutto di un intenso lavoro artistico svolto durante l’anno scolastico.
Giovedì 3 luglio sarà invece Villa Ducale di Dolo (VE) ad accogliere i Summer Ensembles della prestigiosa Worth School, con la partecipazione della Schola Cantorum, dell’orchestra jazz e dell’orchestra sinfonica.
Il programma del concerto include celebri brani di jazz come “Caravan” e “Route 66”, e pagine del grande repertorio classico da Mozart a Elgar.
Entrambi i concerti rappresentano un’occasione per il pubblico di immergersi nella qualità della formazione musicale scolastica britannica in scenari storici unici. Gli eventi sono realizzati con il sostegno e l’organizzazione delle rispettive ville venete: Villa Widmann, gestita da Servizi Metropolitani di Venezia, e Villa Ducale, con il patrocinio del Comune di Dolo.
In the summer of 2025, the Venetian Villas will host two exceptional musical events featuring young musicians from the United Kingdom.
On Tuesday, June 24, at Villa Widmann in Mira (VE), the Senior Choir of the British School of Brussels, directed by Christi-Ann Nancarrow, will perform.
The choir, composed of talented international students, will present a repertoire that ranges from jazz classics (“My Funny Valentine,” “Come Fly with Me”) to contemporary pop music (“Chasing Cars,” “Easy on Me”), in a concert that is the result of intense artistic work done throughout the school year.
On Thursday, July 3, Villa Ducale in Dolo (VE) will welcome the Summer Ensembles of the prestigious Worth School, featuring the Schola Cantorum, the jazz orchestra, and the symphony orchestra.
The concert program includes famous jazz pieces such as “Caravan” and “Route 66,” as well as selections from the great classical repertoire from Mozart to Elgar.
Both concerts represent an opportunity for the audience to immerse themselves in the quality of British school music education in unique historical settings. The events are organized with the support of the respective Venetian villas: Villa Widmann, managed by Metropolitana di Venezia, and Villa Ducale, under the patronage of the Municipality of Dolo.

Am Dienstag, den 24. Juni, tritt der Senior Choir der British School of Brussels unter der Leitung von Christi-Ann Nancarrow in der Villa Widmann in Mira (VE) auf.
Der Chor, bestehend aus talentierten internationalen Schülern, wird ein Repertoire präsentieren, das von Jazzklassikern (“My Funny Valentine”, “Come Fly with Me”) bis hin zu zeitgenössischer Popmusik (“Chasing Cars”, “Easy on Me”) reicht, und ein Konzert geben, das das Ergebnis intensiver künstlerischer Arbeit im Laufe des Schuljahres ist.
Am Donnerstag, den 3. Juli, wird die Villa Ducale in Dolo (VE) die Summer Ensembles der renommierten Worth School mit der Teilnahme der Schola Cantorum, des Jazzorchesters und des Sinfonieorchesters begrüßen.
Das Programm des Konzerts umfasst berühmte Jazzstücke wie “Caravan” und “Route 66” sowie Werke des großen klassischen Repertoires von Mozart bis Elgar.
Beide Konzerte bieten dem Publikum die Gelegenheit, in die hohe Qualität der britischen schulmusikalischen Ausbildung in einzigartigen historischen Kulissen einzutauchen. Die Veranstaltungen werden mit Unterstützung und Organisation der jeweiligen Veneta-Villen durchgeführt: Villa Widmann, verwaltet von Servizi Metropolitani di Venezia, und Villa Ducale, mit dem Patrozinium der Gemeinde Dolo.
