Sabato 16 maggio, con partenza alle ore 18:00 - "Passeggiata storica a Dolo: l'Isola Bassa"
L’itinerario partirà dal Ponte dei Cavalli, e proseguirà nell’Isola Bassa dove scoprirete i Molini, lo Squero Monumentale, le Vecchie e le Nuove Chiuse e corso d’acqua Seriola.
L’itinerario vuole ripercorrere le trasformazioni che il piccolo borgo sulle rive del fiume Brenta ha registrato nel corso dei secoli. Il filo conduttore di questa passeggiata è legato all’acqua. Il tema dell’acqua, caro alla Repubblica di Venezia, si intreccia più volte con la storia di Dolo, traspare nella monumentale architettura dello Squero e nel vicino impianto dei Molini. Ma è con la creazione da parte della Serenissima dell’Acquedotto del Doge che si crea un legame indissolubile tra la Città e la sua Terraferma.
Acqua come fonte di vita ma anche come fonte di pericolo, come ci ricordano le lapidi affisse nella Vecchia Chiusa che registrano le terribili esondazioni del fiume Brenta. Si ripercorrerà il percorso dei cavalli che trainavano le imbarcazioni lungo la Brenta nell’attraversare il Ponte dei Cavalli e nel visitare le Vecchie e le Nuove Chiuse.

L’itinerario vuole ripercorre la storia e le trasformazioni di una delle zone più antiche e ricche di storia di Dolo. Frammenti di memoria veneziana tra i Sotoporteghi, il Campo dei Gai e il Campo delle Gate, un Bruso che ricorda l’intensa attività artigianale del borgo.
Una storia silenziosa conservata tra le mura di un borgo colorato, restituito al presente con un interessante percorso d’arte a cielo aperto nelle opere di noti artisti di Street Art.

The itinerary will start from the Ponte dei Cavalli and will continue in the Isola Bassa where you will discover the Mills, the Monumental Squero, the Old and New Locks, and the Seriola watercourse.
The itinerary aims to retrace the transformations that the small village on the banks of the Brenta River has experienced over the centuries. The common thread of this walk is linked to water. The theme of water, dear to the Republic of Venice, intertwines multiple times with the history of Dolo, emerging in the monumental architecture of the Squero and in the nearby Mill complex. However, it is with the creation of the Doge's Aqueduct by the Serenissima that an indissoluble bond is formed between the City and its mainland.
Water as a source of life but also as a source of danger, as reminded by the plaques affixed in the Old Lock that record the terrible flooding of the Brenta River. The route will retrace the path of the horses that towed the boats along the Brenta when crossing the Ponte dei Cavalli and visiting the Old and New Locks.

Das Thema Wasser, das der Republik Venedig am Herzen liegt, verwechselt sich mehrmals mit der Geschichte von Dolo und zeigt sich in der monumentalen Architektur des Squero und im nahegelegenen Mühlenanlagen. Aber es ist die Schaffung des Aquädukts des Dogen durch die Serenissima, die eine untrennbare Verbindung zwischen der Stadt und ihrem Festland schafft.
Wasser als Lebensquelle, aber auch als Gefahrenquelle, wie uns die an der Alten Schleuse angebrachten Gedenktafeln erinnern, die die schrecklichen Überschwemmungen des Flusses Brenta dokumentieren. Man wird den Weg der Pferde nachverfolgen, die die Boote entlang der Brenta über die Ponte dei Cavalli zogen und die alten und neuen Schleusen besuchten.
