I manifesti storici sono la testimonianza del crescere di interesse dell’inverno e degli sport invernali in una società che nella prima metà del Novecento comincia a porsi il problema del tempo libero. Ma anche di un inverno attivo e socialmente appagante, dopo anni difficili, in cui i prodotti di largo consumo utilizzano la magia dell’inverno per imporsi sul mercato delle città.
Prendendo spunto dall’esposizione promossa dalla Direzione regionale Musei Nazionale del Veneto, a Treviso, presso la chiesa di Santa Margherita, grazie ai manifesti storici della Collezione Salce, patrimonio del Museo, a Cortina facciamo un viaggio tra l’inverno presente e quello difficile d’un tempo, l’emigrazione delle aree di montagna e il nascere del turismo invernale.
Ripercorriamo, nelle immagini tratte dal libro edito da Grafiche Antiga, la storia dello sport e della montagna, la storia degli sport invernali e della loro evoluzione attraverso le diverse edizioni olimpiche e paralimpiche, quella degli atleti protagonisti e delle profonde trasformazioni, anche sociali, che la diffusione degli sport sulla neve ha determinato nell’immaginario e nello stile di vita delle valli alpine.

Historical posters are the testimony of the growing interest in winter and winter sports in a society that in the first half of the twentieth century begins to address the issue of leisure time. But also of an active and socially fulfilling winter, after difficult years, during which mass-produced goods use the magic of winter to establish themselves in the city markets.
Inspired by the exhibition promoted by the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Veneto, in Treviso, at the Church of Santa Margherita, thanks to the historical posters from the Salce Collection, a heritage of the Museum, in Cortina we embark on a journey between the present winter and that difficult winter of the past, the emigration from mountainous areas and the birth of winter tourism.
We retrace, through images from the book published by Grafiche Antiga, the history of sports and mountains, the history of winter sports and their evolution through the various Olympic and Paralympic editions, that of the athlete protagonists and the profound transformations, including social ones, that the spread of snow sports has determined in the imagination and lifestyle of the alpine valleys.

Die historischen Plakate sind das Zeugnis des wachsenden Interesses am Winter und den Wintersportarten in einer Gesellschaft, die in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts anfängt, sich mit der Frage der Freizeit auseinanderzusetzen. Aber auch von einem aktiven und sozial erfüllenden Winter, nach schwierigen Jahren, in denen Konsumgüter die Magie des Winters nutzen, um sich auf dem Markt der Städte durchzusetzen.
Ausgehend von der Ausstellung, die von der Direzione regionale Musei Nazionale del Veneto in Treviso in der Kirche Santa Margherita gefördert wird, machen wir dank der historischen Plakate der Sammlung Salce, einem Erbe des Museums, eine Reise zwischen dem gegenwärtigen Winter und dem schwierigen Winter vergangener Zeiten, der Emigration aus den Berggebieten und dem Entstehen des Wintertourismus.
Wir verfolgen in den Bildern aus dem Buch, das von Grafiche Antiga veröffentlicht wurde, die Geschichte des Sports und der Berge, die Geschichte der Wintersportarten und ihrer Entwicklung durch die verschiedenen olympischen und paralympischen Spiele, die der Athleten, die Protagonisten sind, und der tiefgreifenden Veränderungen, auch sozialer Art, die die Verbreitung von Sport im Schnee im Vorstellungsbild und im Lebensstil der Alpenregionen bewirkt hat.
