Un viaggio tra arte, fede e identità alpina prende forma nel nuovo volume “Tesori d’arte nelle chiese del Bellunese – Valle del Boite”, la guida che racconta cinquantacinque edifici sacri tra Valle, Vodo, Borca, San Vito e Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Nato oltre vent’anni fa dalla sinergia unica tra Diocesi, Soprintendenza e Provincia, il progetto è oggi un modello nazionale: non solo catalogazione, ma interpretazione viva di un patrimonio che parla di comunità, tradizioni e bellezza. Questa nuova pubblicazione offre una chiave di lettura profonda e rigorosa: architetture in pietra e legno, affreschi, arredi sacri e storie locali si intrecciano in un racconto che restituisce valore europeo a tesori spesso poco noti.
Le schede, curate da studiose e studiosi esperti, guidano il lettore oltre la superficie, correggendo attribuzioni e illuminando significati nascosti. E per la prima volta, la guida si apre al mondo con l’edizione inglese “Hidden Treasures”, pensata per i visitatori delle Dolomiti UNESCO e per il pubblico internazionale delle Olimpiadi Milano Cortina 2026.
- La presentazione ufficiale si terrà a Cortina d’Ampezzo, nella suggestiva Chiesa della Madonna della Difesa, alle ore 17.30. Un’occasione speciale per scoprire il progetto e condividere un momento conviviale con il light dinner curato dall’Istituto Omnicomprensivo Ampezzo e Cadore, dove sarà possibile acquistare la guida a prezzo scontato.

A journey through art, faith, and alpine identity takes shape in the new volume “Treasures of Art in the Churches of Belluno – Boite Valley”, the guide that tells the story of fifty-five sacred buildings in Valle, Vodo, Borca, San Vito, and Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Born over twenty years ago from the unique synergy between the Diocese, the Superintendency, and the Province, the project is now a national model: not just cataloging, but a lively interpretation of a heritage that speaks of community, traditions, and beauty. This new publication offers a deep and rigorous reading key: stone and wood architectures, frescoes, sacred furnishings, and local stories intertwine in a narrative that restores European value to treasures that are often little known.
The entries, curated by expert scholars, guide the reader beyond the surface, correcting attributions and illuminating hidden meanings. And for the first time, the guide opens to the world with the English edition “Hidden Treasures”, designed for visitors to the UNESCO Dolomites and the international audience of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics.

Eine Reise zwischen Kunst, Glauben und alpiner Identität nimmt Form an im neuen Band „Kunstschätze in den Kirchen der Region Belluno – Boite-Tal“, dem Führer, der fünfundfünfzig Sakralbauten in Valle, Vodo, Borca, San Vito und Cortina d’Ampezzo erzählt.
Vor über zwanzig Jahren aus der einzigartigen Synergie zwischen Diözese, Denkmalpflege und Provinz entstanden, ist das Projekt heute ein nationales Modell: nicht nur Katalogisierung, sondern eine lebendige Interpretation eines Erbes, das von Gemeinschaft, Traditionen und Schönheit spricht. Diese neue Publikation bietet einen tiefen und rigiden Zugang: Stein- und Holzbauten, Fresken, sakrale Einrichtung und lokale Geschichten verweben sich in einem Erzählung, die oft wenig bekannte Schätze einen europäischen Wert zurückgibt.
Die von erfahrenen Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern betreuten Blätter führen die Leser über die Oberfläche hinaus, korrigieren Zuschreibungen und erhellen verborgene Bedeutungen. Und zum ersten Mal öffnet sich der Führer mit der englischen Ausgabe „Hidden Treasures“ der Welt, gedacht für die Besucher der UNESCO-Dolomiten und das internationale Publikum der Olympischen Spiele Milano Cortina 2026.
