Dall'1 agosto al 13 settembre 2026 Farsettiarte Cortina rende omaggio a Renato Guttuso, protagonista assoluto dell'arte italiana del Novecento, con una mostra che attraversa oltre quarant'anni della sua straordinaria produzione, dal 1937 al 1980. Un percorso espositivo che racconta l'evoluzione di un artista capace di trasformare la pittura in uno strumento di impegno civile, passione e libertà espressiva, attraversando il neocubismo del dopoguerra fino al realismo lirico della piena maturità.
Nature morte, interni domestici, paesaggi urbani e figure popolari prendono vita in una selezione di opere emblematiche, tra cui Forchetta, bicchiere e tenaglia, La grande lavandaia, Interno con stufa, Damigiana e case ed Edicola, testimonianze di un linguaggio pittorico in continua trasformazione, influenzato da Picasso, Courbet e Van Gogh ma sempre profondamente originale.
Pittore, intellettuale e protagonista della cultura europea del secondo dopoguerra, Guttuso ha saputo raccontare il suo tempo con uno stile inconfondibile, in cui la forza del colore incontra il valore della memoria e dell'impegno.

From August 1 to September 13, 2026, Farsettiarte Cortina pays tribute to Renato Guttuso, the absolute protagonist of 20th-century Italian art, with an exhibition that spans over forty years of his extraordinary production, from 1937 to 1980. An exhibition route that tells the evolution of an artist capable of transforming painting into a tool of civic engagement, passion, and expressive freedom, traversing from the neocubism of the postwar period to the lyrical realism of full maturity.
Still lifes, domestic interiors, urban landscapes, and popular figures come to life in a selection of emblematic works, including Fork, glass, and tongs, The great laundress, Interior with stove, Demijohn and houses, and Newsstand, testimonies of a painting language in continuous transformation, influenced by Picasso, Courbet, and Van Gogh but always profoundly original.
Painter, intellectual, and protagonist of post-World War II European culture, Guttuso has been able to narrate his time with an unmistakable style, where the strength of color meets the value of memory and commitment.
Hosted in the historic spaces of Farsettiarte, a reference point for Italian collecting since 1964, the exhibition represents one of the most prestigious cultural events of the Ampezzo summer: a unique opportunity to rediscover a timeless master in the heart of Cortina d'Ampezzo, amid art, history, and beauty.
Vom 1. August bis 13. September 2026 ehrt Farsettiarte Cortina Renato Guttuso, den absoluten Protagonisten der italienischen Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts, mit einer Ausstellung, die über vier Jahrzehnte seiner außergewöhnlichen Produktion von 1937 bis 1980 umfasst. Ein Ausstellungsparcours, der die Evolution eines Künstlers erzählt, der Malerei in ein Instrument für zivilen Einsatz, Leidenschaft und expressive Freiheit verwandelt hat, und der vom Neokubismus der Nachkriegszeit bis zum lyrischen Realismus seiner vollen Reife reicht.
Stilleben, häusliche Innenräume, städtische Landschaften und populäre Figuren nehmen Gestalt an in einer Auswahl emblematischer Werke, darunter Gabel, Glas und Zange, Die große Wäscherin, Innenraum mit Ofen, Damigiana und Häuser sowie Schrein, Zeugnisse einer permanenten Transformation der Malersprache, beeinflusst von Picasso, Courbet und Van Gogh, jedoch immer tiefgehend originell.
Als Maler, Intellektueller und Protagonist der europäischen Kultur der Nachkriegszeit hat Guttuso es verstanden, seine Zeit mit einem unverwechselbaren Stil zu erzählen, in dem die Kraft der Farbe auf den Wert von Erinnerung und Engagement trifft.
