La Fèŝta de ra Bàndes (festa delle bande) ha luogo le ultime settimane di agosto.
Le celebrazioni coinvolgono più di 25 bande e gruppi folkloristici provenienti dall’Italia e dall’estero che tra concerti, sfilate, caroselli e tradizione popolare fanno vivere un’intera settimana a suon di musica. Tra le note di una banda e l’altra sfileranno il volontariato, il ricordo di come si viveva, la cultura paesana, il divertimento, il duro lavoro della montagna, lo sport vecchio e nuovo e tante altre attività.
Il momento più atteso della festa rimane la grande sfilata folcloristica lungo Corso Italia: un autentico salto nel passato con protagoniste più di 20 bande internazionali, le associazioni e i gruppi del paese, le tradizionali insegne, i carri tipici e gli abiti tramandati di generazione in generazione, indossati dai componenti dei gruppi.
La festa prosegue con una serie di concerti e spettacoli nelle piazze del centro e, a conclusione della manifestazione un’ultima marcia del il Corpo Musicale di Cortina

The Fèŝta de ra Bàndes (festival of the bands) takes place in the last weeks of August.
The celebrations involve more than 25 bands and folk groups from Italy and abroad, which through concerts, parades, exhibitions, and popular traditions create a whole week filled with music. Amid the notes of one band after another, you'll see volunteers, memories of how life used to be, local culture, fun, the hard work of the mountains, old and new sports, and many other activities.
The most anticipated moment of the festival remains the grand folkloric parade along Corso Italia: a genuine leap into the past featuring more than 20 international bands, local associations and groups, traditional signs, typical floats, and costumes passed down from generation to generation, worn by the members of the groups.
The festival continues with a series of concerts and shows in the central squares, and at the conclusion of the event, there will be a final march by the Musical Corps of Cortina
