Nelle giornate di venerdì 26, sabato 27 e domenica 28 settembre si terrà il consueto Open Internazionale di scacchi "Città di Chioggia", giunto alla sua 17^ edizione, organizzato dal Circolo Scacchistico Clodiense.
Si tratta di un torneo che ormai da anni è considerato di assoluta eccellenza considerato che i partecipanti sono ormai, da anni, più di un centinaio e giungono da tutte le regioni d'Italia e molti dall'estero. Ci sono già iscritti dalla Grecia, dalla Svizzera, dalla Romania, dalla Francia e molti dall'Alto Adige.
Quest'anno sarà presente il direttore della più diffusa rivista del settore, Torre & Cavallo, che seguirà le partite più interessanti e successivamente dedicherà ampio spazio al torneo nel prossimo numero, a testimonianza dell'importanza che ha il torneo non solo in Italia ma anche all'estero.
L'Open Internazionale di scacchi "Città di Chioggia" è l'unico torneo che si terrà in Italia che è stato pubblicato nel calendario della Fide (la Federazione internazionale degli scacchi), la quale da' notizia dei tornei che considera migliori.

An den Tagen Freitag, den 26., Samstag, den 27., und Sonntag, den 28. September, findet das traditionelle internationale Schachopen "Città di Chioggia", das nun in seiner 17. Ausgabe stattfindet, organisiert vom Schachverein Clodiense.
Es handelt sich um ein Turnier, das seit Jahren als von absoluter Exzellenz angesehen wird, da die Teilnehmer seit Jahren über hundert betragen und aus allen Regionen Italiens sowie vielen aus dem Ausland kommen. Es sind bereits Teilnehmer aus Griechenland, der Schweiz, Rumänien, Frankreich und vielen aus Südtirol angemeldet.
In diesem Jahr wird der Direktor der am weitesten verbreiteten Zeitschrift der Branche, Torre & Cavallo, anwesend sein, der die interessantesten Partien verfolgen und anschließend im nächsten Nummer des Magazins umfangreich über das Turnier berichten wird, als Zeugnis der Bedeutung, die das Turnier nicht nur in Italien, sondern auch im Ausland hat.
