Nel corso dell’incontro interverranno Cesare Mantovan e Sandro Nordio, con la moderazione dello storico Luciano Bellemo, che guiderà il dialogo con il pubblico. Sono previsti anche momenti di lettura affidati all’attrice Giovanna Bellemo, che interpreterà brani del testo evocando la Chioggia medievale.
L’iniziativa è patrocinata dalla Città di Chioggia, dall’Università Popolare, dal Palio della Marciliana e dall’Associazione Mons. Cinzio Zennaro.
Il racconto è ambientato durante la Guerra di Chioggia (1378-1381) tra Venezia e Genova e intreccia vicende familiari e personali sullo sfondo storico.
Il volume, tradotto da Mantovan e Luigi Beghi, è arricchito dalle illustrazioni di Nordio. L’autore Thornton Leigh Hunt fu scrittore e giornalista inglese dell’età vittoriana.
During the meeting, Cesare Mantovan and Sandro Nordio will speak, moderated by the historian Luciano Bellemo, who will lead the dialogue with the audience. Reading moments are also expected, entrusted to the actress Giovanna Bellemo, who will interpret passages from the text evoking medieval Chioggia.
The initiative is sponsored by the City of Chioggia, the Università Popolare, the Palio della Marciliana, and the Mons. Cinzio Zennaro Association.
The story is set during the War of Chioggia (1378-1381) between Venice and Genoa and weaves together family and personal events against the historical backdrop.
The volume, translated by Mantovan and Luigi Beghi, is enriched by illustrations by Nordio. The author Thornton Leigh Hunt was an English writer and journalist of the Victorian era.
Im Laufe des Treffens werden Cesare Mantovan und Sandro Nordio zu Wort kommen, moderiert von dem Historiker Luciano Bellemo, der den Dialog mit dem Publikum leiten wird. Es sind auch Lesemomente mit der Schauspielerin Giovanna Bellemo vorgesehen, die Passagen des Textes interpretieren und das mittelalterliche Chioggia beschwören.
