Una giornata dedicata non solo alla devozione religiosa, ma anche alla celebrazione di un mestiere che ha forgiato l’identità, la cultura e l’anima della città.
Il programma prenderà il via alle ore 10:30, presso la suggestiva Chiesa di San Domenico, con la tradizionale Santa Messa del Pescatore, presieduta da S.E. Mons. Giampaolo Dianin, Vescovo della Diocesi di Chioggia.
I momenti liturgici saranno accompagnati dai canti del Coro Popolare Chioggiotto, che con il suo repertorio dà voce alle emozioni e alla storia del popolo del mare.
Durante la celebrazione si terrà anche la premiazione di alcuni pescatori professionisti, a cui verrà consegnata la medaglia d’oro: un riconoscimento simbolico ma profondo, che intende onorare l’impegno, la dedizione e spesso anche i sacrifici di chi ogni giorno solca le acque per portare il frutto del proprio lavoro alla comunità.
A seguire, alle ore 12:00, si svolgerà la Benedizione del Mare e del capitello votivo dedicato alla Madonna Immacolata.
Un momento solenne, in cui le barche, gli equipaggi e le famiglie si affidano alla protezione della Vergine, con la speranza di mare calmo e pesca abbondante.
La Festa del Pescatore non è solo un appuntamento religioso: è un’occasione per rinsaldare legami, tramandare memoria e rendere omaggio a un mestiere antico quanto nobile. In un tempo in cui il mondo della pesca affronta sfide sempre più complesse, questa giornata rappresenta un momento di unità e consapevolezza.

The program will begin at 10:30 AM, at the picturesque Church of San Domenico, with the traditional Fisherman's Mass, presided over by His Excellency Mons. Giampaolo Dianin, Bishop of the Diocese of Chioggia.
The liturgical moments will be accompanied by the songs of the Coro Popolare Chioggiotto, which gives voice to the emotions and history of the people of the sea with its repertoire.
During the celebration, there will also be an award ceremony for some professional fishermen, who will receive a gold medal: a symbolic but profound recognition that aims to honor the commitment, dedication, and often the sacrifices of those who navigate the waters every day to bring the fruits of their labor to the community.
Following this, at 12:00 PM, there will be the Blessing of the Sea and the votive column dedicated to the Immaculate Virgin.
A solemn moment, in which the boats, crews, and families entrust themselves to the protection of the Virgin, with the hope of calm seas and abundant fishing.
The Fisherman's Festival is not just a religious event: it is an opportunity to strengthen bonds, pass down memories, and pay homage to an ancient and noble profession. In a time when the fishing world faces increasingly complex challenges, this day represents a moment of unity and awareness.
Ein Tag, der nicht nur der religiösen Hingabe gewidmet ist, sondern auch der Feier eines Handwerks, das die Identität, Kultur und Seele der Stadt geprägt hat.
Das Programm beginnt um 10:30 Uhr in der malerischen Kirche San Domenico mit der traditionellen Fischer-Messe, die von S.E. Mons. Giampaolo Dianin, dem Bischof der Diözese Chioggia, geleitet wird.
Die liturgischen Momente werden von den Gesängen des Coro Popolare Chioggiotto begleitet, der mit seinem Repertoire den Emotionen und der Geschichte des Volkes des Meeres eine Stimme verleiht.

Im Anschluss, um 12:00 Uhr, findet die Segnung des Meeres und des votiven Kapitells, das der Unbefleckten Jungfrau Maria gewidmet ist, statt.
Ein feierlicher Moment, in dem die Boote, die Besatzungen und die Familien sich dem Schutz der Jungfrau anvertrauen, in der Hoffnung auf ruhiges Meer und reiche Fänge.
Das Fischerfest ist nicht nur ein religiöses Ereignis: Es ist eine Gelegenheit, Bindungen zu stärken, Erinnerungen weiterzugeben und einem so alten wie edlen Handwerk Tribut zu zollen.
