Dal 25 al 27 settembre 2026 Chioggia ospita il 18° Open Internazionale “Città di Chioggia”, organizzato dal Circolo Scacchistico Clodiense e patrocinato dal Comune di Chioggia. La competizione si svolgerà all’Hotel Sole e coinvolgerà circa un centinaio di scacchisti provenienti da diverse parti del mondo.

L’Open sarà articolato in tre tornei: A, per giocatori con punteggio Elo superiore a 1850; B, fino a 1900 punti Elo; C, fino a 1600 punti Elo. Numerosa sarà anche la partecipazione degli scacchisti chioggiotti.

• Pomeriggio – Conclusione e premiazioni

Per gli accompagnatori è prevista una visita guidata gratuita al centro storico di Chioggia, grazie alla collaborazione con l’associazione culturale La Bricola.

L’evento si inserisce nel calendario annuale del Circolo, che propone corsi per giovani e adulti, tornei, simultanee, lezioni tematiche e attività agonistica. Durante l’estate si è svolto il primo torneo “Sagra di Sant’Anna”, con 40 partecipanti.

From September 25 to 27, 2026, Chioggia will host the 18th International Open "Città di Chioggia," organized by the Clodiense Chess Club and sponsored by the Municipality of Chioggia. The competition will take place at Hotel Sole and will involve around one hundred chess players from different parts of the world.

The Open will be divided into three tournaments: A, for players with an Elo rating above 1850; B, up to 1900 Elo points; C, up to 1600 Elo points. There will also be significant participation from local Chioggia chess players.

A free guided tour of the historic center of Chioggia is planned for the companions, thanks to the collaboration with the cultural association La Bricola.

The event is part of the annual calendar of the Club, which offers courses for young people and adults, tournaments, simultaneous games, thematic lessons, and competitive activities. During the summer, the first tournament "Sagra di Sant’Anna" took place, with 40 participants.

Der Wettbewerb findet im Hotel Sole statt und wird etwa einhundert Schachspieler aus verschiedenen Teilen der Welt anziehen.

Das Open wird in drei Turniere unterteilt: A, für Spieler mit einer Elo-Zahl über 1850; B, bis zu 1900 Elo-Punkten; C, bis zu 1600 Elo-Punkten. Auch die Teilnahme der Chioggia-Schachspieler wird zahlreich sein.

Für die Begleitpersonen ist eine kostenlose geführte Tour durch die Altstadt von Chioggia geplant, dank der Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kulturverein La Bricola.

Die Veranstaltung ist Teil des jährlichen Kalenders des Vereins, der Kurse für Jugendliche und Erwachsene, Turniere, Simultanveranstaltungen, thematische Lektionen und Wettkampfaktivitäten anbietet. Im Sommer fand das erste Turnier “Sagra di Sant’Anna” mit 40 Teilnehmern statt.
