Tradizioni, ricordi e iniziative per grandi e piccoli
Il Museo Etnografico Dolomiti a Cesiomaggiore, si prepara a vivere il periodo natalizio con due iniziative che uniscono memoria, tradizione e partecipazione attiva del pubblico. Un Natale all’insegna degli inverni di un tempo, della neve e delle slittate che hanno segnato l’immaginario collettivo delle comunità di montagna.
All’ingresso del museo i visitatori vengono accolti da un piccolo suggestivo presepe, allestito come introduzione alla mostra “La slitta fra tradizione, gioco e competizione”, dedicata al mondo degli slittini, che verrà inaugurata a fine gennaio. Un primo assaggio di un percorso espositivo che racconta il gioco, il movimento e la vita invernale di un tempo.
Accanto al presepe, trova spazio anche un albero di Natale speciale, pensato come luogo di condivisione: tutti i visitatori sono invitati ad appendere un proprio ricordo legato alla neve, alle slittate, alle emozioni vissute durante gli inverni della propria infanzia. Un gesto semplice che trasforma il museo in uno spazio vivo, fatto di storie personali e memoria collettiva.
Il calendario prosegue sabato 3 gennaio 2026, dalle ore 15.00 alle 18.30, con “Baratto dei saperi”, un’attività dedicata a ragazze e ragazzi dai 10 anni in su. Un accompagnamento alla scoperta dell’acquerello, a cura delle acquerelliste del museo, pensato come momento di scambio, creatività e apprendimento. L’attività è gratuita, ma i posti sono limitati.

The Ethnographic Museum Dolomiti in Cesiomaggiore is preparing to celebrate the Christmas season with two initiatives that combine memory, tradition, and active public participation. A Christmas in the spirit of the winters of the past, snow, and sledding that have shaped the collective imagination of mountain communities.
At the entrance of the museum, visitors are greeted by a charming small nativity scene, set up as an introduction to the exhibition "The Sled in Tradition, Play, and Competition," dedicated to the world of sledding, which will be inaugurated at the end of January. A first taste of an exhibition path that tells the story of games, movement, and winter life of the past.
Next to the nativity scene, there is also a special Christmas tree, designed as a place for sharing: all visitors are invited to hang a personal memory related to snow, sledding, and emotions experienced during the winters of their childhood. A simple gesture that transforms the museum into a lively space made of personal stories and collective memory.
The calendar continues on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, with “Knowledge Barter,” an activity dedicated to girls and boys aged 10 and up. An introduction to discovering watercolor, led by the museum's watercolorists, designed as a moment of exchange, creativity, and learning. The activity is free, but space is limited.

Traditionen, Erinnerungen und Initiativen für Groß und Klein
Das Ethnografische Museum Dolomiten in Cesiomaggiore bereitet sich darauf vor, die Weihnachtszeit mit zwei Initiativen zu erleben, die Erinnerung, Tradition und aktive Teilnahme des Publikums vereinen. Ein Weihnachten im Zeichen der Winter vergangener Zeiten, des Schnees und der Schlittenspiele, die das kollektive Gedächtnis der Berggemeinschaften geprägt haben.
Am Eingang des Museums werden die Besucher von einer kleinen, eindrucksvollen Krippe empfangen, die als Einführung zur Ausstellung “Der Schlitten zwischen Tradition, Spiel und Wettbewerb” dient, die der Welt der Schlitten gewidmet ist und Ende Januar eröffnet wird. Ein erster Vorgeschmack auf einen Ausstellungsweg, der das Spiel, die Bewegung und das Leben im Winter von einst erzählt.
Neben der Krippe findet sich auch ein besonderer Weihnachtsbaum, der als Ort der Gemeinschaft gedacht ist: Alle Besucher sind eingeladen, eine eigene Erinnerung, die mit Schnee, Schlittenfahrten und den Emotionen der eigenen Kindheit verbunden ist, aufzuhängen. Eine einfache Geste, die das Museum in einen lebendigen Raum verwandelt, der aus persönlichen Geschichten und kollektivem Gedächtnis besteht.
Der Kalender setzt sich am Samstag, den 3. Januar 2026, von 15:00 bis 18:30 Uhr mit “Tausch der Fähigkeiten” fort, einer Aktivität für Mädchen und Jungen ab 10 Jahren. Eine Einführung in die Aquarellmalerei, geleitet von den Aquarellistinnen des Museums, die als Moment des Austauschs, der Kreativität und des Lernens gedacht ist. Die Aktivität ist kostenlos, aber die Plätze sind begrenzt.
