Dal 19 al 21 giugno al Castello di San Martino della Vaneza si svolge la XXXI edizione del Palio dello Sparviero, una manifestazione che vi riporterà indietro nel tempo: dagli Scrovegni ai Da Carrara, da Pietro d’Abano a Galileo Galilei, da Giotto a Petrarca, incontrerai volti che hanno fatto grande il nostro territorio… e forse anche qualche buffone o dama incantatrice
Tre giorni di festa e banchetti, spettacoli e animazioni con teatranti, giullari e giocolieri, musici e uomini d’arme, nonché la storica disfida delle contrade nella fossa di San Martino, per la conquista dell’ambito Sparviero.
Il parco che circonda il castello ospita un vero e proprio villaggio composto da taverne e locande, aperte fino a notte fonda, dove trovare cialde, carni, birra e vino in abbondanza, dai banchi dei mercanti con le loro merci e da quelli degli artigiani che fanno mostra delle proprie creazioni, come anche gli accampamenti delle compagnie d’arme.
Il banchetto conviviale è uno degli elementi principali del Palio dello Sparviero e nasce dalla voglia di realizzare un convivio che potesse riprodurre nel minimo dettaglio le ricette dell’epoca, servite secondo le usanze del convivio medievali.
Aneddoti e curiosità accompagnano nel corso della serata le molte portate allietate da saltimbanchi, musici e spettacoli di corte.

From June 19th to June 21st at the Castle of San Martino della Vaneza takes place the XXXI edition of the Palio dello Sparviero, an event that will take you back in time: from the Scrovegni to the Da Carrara, from Pietro d’Abano to Galileo Galilei, from Giotto to Petrarca, you will meet faces that have made our territory great… and perhaps some fool or enchanting lady.
Three days of festivities and banquets, shows and animations with actors, jesters and jugglers, musicians and men-at-arms, as well as the historic challenge of the districts in the pit of San Martino, for the coveted Sparviero.
The park surrounding the castle hosts a true village composed of taverns and inns, open until late at night, where you can find waffles, meats, beer, and wine in abundance, from the merchants' stalls with their goods and from those of artisans showcasing their creations, as well as the encampments of the military companies.
The communal banquet is one of the main elements of the Palio dello Sparviero and arises from the desire to create a feast that could reproduce in minute detail the recipes of the time, served according to the customs of medieval banquets.
Stories and curiosities accompany throughout the evening the many courses cheerfully presented by acrobats, musicians, and court performances.

Vom 19. bis 21. Juni findet im Schloss San Martino della Vaneza die XXXI. Ausgabe des Palio dello Sparvierostatt, eine Veranstaltung, die Sie in die Vergangenheit zurückführt: von den Scrovegni zu den Da Carrara, von Pietro d’Abano zu Galileo Galilei, von Giotto zu Petrarca, begegnen Sie Gesichtern, die unser Gebiet groß gemacht haben… und vielleicht auch dem einen oder anderen Narren oder verzauberten Dame.
Drei Tage voller Festlichkeiten und Bankette, Aufführungen und Animationen mit Schauspielern, Gauklern und Jongleuren, Musikern und kriegerischen Männern, sowie der historischen Herausforderung der Stadtviertel in der Grube von San Martino, um den begehrten Sparviero zu gewinnen.
Der Park, der das Schloss umgibt, beherbergt ein echtes Dorf , bestehend aus Tavernen und Gasthäusern, die bis spät in die Nacht geöffnet sind, wo Sie Waffeln, Fleisch, Bier und Wein im Überfluss finden können, von den Ständen der Händler mit ihren Waren und von denen der Handwerker, die ihre Kreationen präsentieren, sowie die Lager der Waffenbrüder.
Das festliche Bankett ist eines der Hauptmerkmale des Palio dello Sparviero und entsteht aus dem Wunsch, ein Festmahl zu schaffen, das die Rezepte der damaligen Zeit im kleinsten Detail nachbildet, serviert nach den Bräuchen der mittelalterlichen Festlichkeiten.
Anekdoten und Kuriositäten begleiten im Laufe des Abends die vielen Gänge, erfreut von Gauklern, Musikern und Hofaufführungen.
