Lunedì 13 aprile 2026 alle ore 17:30 il Centro Civico di Ca’ Savio, in via Concordia 27 a Cavallino-Treporti, ospita la presentazione del libro La tradizione votiva di Burano, Mazzorbo e Torcello, tra passato e presente. I capitelli e le festività ad essi collegate, a cura dell’Associazione Artistica Culturale di Burano.
L’incontro propone un approfondimento dedicato alle tradizioni votive delle isole della laguna nord, con particolare attenzione ai capitelli e alle ricorrenze religiose e popolari ad essi connesse. Il volume ricostruisce un patrimonio culturale oggi in parte scomparso, attraverso testimonianze orali e una ricca documentazione storica supportata da circa 230 fotografie.
Il libro offre uno sguardo sulle pratiche devozionali che per lungo tempo hanno scandito la vita quotidiana delle comunità locali, contribuendo a mantenere viva la memoria di usanze tramandate nel tempo. La presentazione sarà un’occasione per conoscere più da vicino il lavoro di ricerca svolto e per approfondire il valore storico e culturale di questi elementi del paesaggio lagunare.
L’iniziativa è realizzata con il patrocinio del Comune di Cavallino-Treporti. La partecipazione è libera. Al termine dell’incontro è previsto un momento conviviale aperto ai partecipanti.
On Monday 13 April 2026 at 5:30 pm, the Civic Centre of Ca’ Savio, located at Via Concordia 27 in Cavallino-Treporti, will host the presentation of the book The votive tradition of Burano, Mazzorbo and Torcello, between past and present. Shrines and the festivities connected to them, curated by the Associazione Artistica Culturale di Burano.
The event offers an in-depth look at the votive traditions of the northern lagoon islands, with particular focus on roadside shrines and the religious and popular festivities associated with them. The volume reconstructs a cultural heritage that has partly disappeared, through oral testimonies and extensive historical documentation supported by around 230 photographs.
The book provides insight into devotional practices that for a long time shaped everyday life in local communities, helping to preserve the memory of traditions passed down over time. The presentation will be an opportunity to learn more about the research behind the publication and to explore the historical and cultural significance of these elements of the lagoon landscape.
The initiative is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Cavallino-Treporti. Participation is free. At the end of the event, a convivial moment will be offered to participants.

April 2026 um 17:30 Uhr findet im Centro Civico von Ca’ Savio, Via Concordia 27 in Cavallino-Treporti, die Vorstellung des Buches Die Votivtradition von Burano, Mazzorbo und Torcello zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Kapitelle und die damit verbundenen Feste statt, herausgegeben von der Associazione Artistica Culturale di Burano.
Die Veranstaltung widmet sich den Votivtraditionen der nördlichen Laguneninseln, mit besonderem Augenmerk auf die Kapitelle sowie die damit verbundenen religiösen und volkstümlichen Festlichkeiten. Das Buch rekonstruiert ein heute teilweise verschwundenes Kulturerbe anhand mündlicher Überlieferungen und umfangreicher historischer Dokumentation, unterstützt durch etwa 230 Fotografien.
Das Werk gibt Einblick in religiöse Praktiken, die über lange Zeit den Alltag der lokalen Gemeinschaften geprägt haben, und trägt dazu bei, die Erinnerung an überlieferte Traditionen zu bewahren. Die Präsentation bietet die Gelegenheit, die Forschungsarbeit hinter dem Buch kennenzulernen und die historische sowie kulturelle Bedeutung dieser Elemente der Lagunenlandschaft zu vertiefen.
Die Initiative steht unter der Schirmherrschaft der Gemeinde Cavallino-Treporti. Die Teilnahme ist frei. Im Anschluss an die Veranstaltung ist ein geselliges Beisammensein vorgesehen.
