Quarto spettacolo del nuovo anno della stagione teatrale di Castelfranco Veneto 2025-2026.
Aristide e Lello crescono due giovani ragazze orfane con l’intento di farne le proprie future spose. Ma mentre Aristide conquista il cuore della sua amata grazie alla fiducia e alla libertà che le concede, Lello, dominato da gelosia e autoritarismo, finisce per allontanare la donna che vorrebbe trattenere, rendendola facile preda di un corteggiatore più sensibile e romantico.
La commedia si regge sul contrasto tra la saggezza di Aristide e la comicità involontaria di Lello, offrendo un ritratto ironico e pungente delle debolezze maschili e dell’incapacità di instaurare relazioni autentiche. Dietro le risate affiora una riflessione attualissima: solo un’educazione sentimentale fondata sul rispetto e sull’ascolto può favorire la crescita, l’autonomia e la forza delle donne, vere colonne della società.

Aristide and Lello raise two young orphan girls with the intention of making them their future brides. But while Aristide wins the heart of his beloved through the trust and freedom he grants her, Lello, dominated by jealousy and authoritarianism, ends up driving away the woman he wants to keep, making her an easy target for a more sensitive and romantic suitor.
The comedy stands on the contrast between Aristide's wisdom and Lello's unintentional comedy, offering an ironic and biting portrayal of male weaknesses and the inability to establish authentic relationships. Behind the laughter lies a very current reflection: only a sentimental education based on respect and listening can foster the growth, autonomy, and strength of women, the true pillars of society.

Aristide und Lello ziehen zwei junge Waisenkinder groß, mit dem Ziel, sie zu ihren zukünftigen Frauen zu machen. Während Aristide jedoch das Herz seiner Geliebten erobert, indem er ihr Vertrauen und Freiheit schenkt, treibt Lello, beherrscht von Eifersucht und Autoritarismus, die Frau, die er festhalten möchte, weg und macht sie zur leichten Beute eines sensibleren und romantischeren Verehrers.
Die Komödie basiert auf dem Gegensatz zwischen Aristides Weisheit und Lellos unfreiwilliger Komik und bietet ein ironisches und spitzfindiges Porträt männlicher Schwächen sowie der Unfähigkeit, authentische Beziehungen aufzubauen.
