Il Comune di Castelfranco Veneto e la Biblioteca Comunale hanno l'onore di invitarvi alla presentazione del libro "Giorgio Lago: Il Mio Veneto e Altri Scritti" edito da Ronzani Editore.
A vent’anni dalla scomparsa, un libro di cinquecento pagine celebra Giorgio Lago, figura centrale del giornalismo italiano.
Dallo sport alla politica, dalla direzione de Il Gazzettino all’attività di editorialista per la Repubblica, Lago ha raccontato con rigore e passione il Paese, dando voce al Nordest e al Veneto. Il volume raccoglie scritti e testimonianze di colleghi, intellettuali, politici e sportivi, offrendo il ritratto corale di un uomo che ha unito qualità professionale e spessore umano.
Conduicono l'evento gli autori del volume; il figlio Francesco Chiavacci Lago, fondatore dell'associazione Amici di Giorgio Lago di cui è vice-presidente, e Francesco Jori, giornalista professionista.

The Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto and the Municipal Library are honored to invite you to the presentation of the book "Giorgio Lago: My Veneto and Other Writings" published by Ronzani Editore.
Twenty years after his passing, a five hundred page book celebrates Giorgio Lago, a central figure in Italian journalism.
From sports to politics, from the direction of Il Gazzettino to his role as an editorialist for la Repubblica, Lago narrated the country with rigor and passion, giving voice to the Northeast and Veneto. The volume collects writings and testimonies from colleagues, intellectuals, politicians, and athletes, offering a collective portrait of a man who combined professional quality with human depth.
The event will be led by the authors of the volume; his son Francesco Chiavacci Lago, founder of the Friends of Giorgio Lago association where he serves as vice-president, and Francesco Jori, a professional journalist.

Vom Sport zur Politik, von der Leitung der Il Gazzettino bis zur Tätigkeit als Kolumnist für la Repubblica, hat Lago das Land mit Strenge und Leidenschaft erzählt und dem Nordosten und Venetien eine Stimme gegeben. Der Band versammelt Texte und Zeugnisse von Kollegen, Intellektuellen, Politikern und Sportlern und bietet das kollektive Porträt eines Mannes, der berufliche Qualität mit menschlicher Tiefe vereinte.
Die Veranstaltung wird von den Herausgebern des Buches moderiert; seinem Sohn Francesco Chiavacci Lago, dem Gründer der Vereinigung Freunde von Giorgio Lago, dessen Vizepräsident er ist, und Francesco Jori, professioneller Journalist.
