Nato nel 2021 con il riconoscimento ufficiale della Regione Veneto, l’Ecomuseo della Valle del Biois abbraccia i comuni di Canale d’Agordo, Falcade e Vallada Agordina.
Queste tre località, incastonate nel cuore delle Dolomiti, condividono una forte identità culturale, linguistica e folkloristica, profondamente legata alla storia e alla natura del territorio.
A differenza di un museo tradizionale, l’Ecomuseo non è racchiuso entro quattro mura: è un museo diffuso, che vive all’aria aperta e coinvolge direttamente chi lo abita. Sono infatti gli abitanti stessi, insieme alla comunità, a farsi custodi e promotori del patrimonio ambientale, storico e culturale della valle.
Camminando tra i paesi, i sentieri e le antiche borgate è possibile scoprire racconti, usanze, saperi e memorie che hanno modellato nei secoli l’identità di questa terra.
L’Ecomuseo è infatti un progetto vivo, dinamico, nato per salvaguardare le radici del territorio e trasmetterle alle generazioni future e a tutti coloro che vogliono scoprire la nostra valle nelle sue diverse sfaccettature. Parte di una rete che conta oggi circa 230 ecomusei in tutta Italia, quello della Valle del Biois vuole invitare a vivere un’esperienza autentica, tra paesaggi mozzafiato, storie di vita e tradizioni che parlano ancora il linguaggio genuino della montagna.
Ogni lunedì pomeriggio, dal 30 giugno al 25 agosto, vi aspetta un’attività pensata per tutta la famiglia, adatta a grandi e piccini, per trascorrere qualche ora all’aria aperta tra natura, animali e sapori genuini. In uno degli angoli più suggestivi di Canale d’Agordo, ci aspetta una piacevole passeggiata che ci condurrà da Mirco e Lino, appassionati custodi del mondo rurale locale.
Sarà l’occasione per scoprire da vicino l’affascinante universo delle api, fondamentali per l’equilibrio dell’ambiente, e per conoscere le simpatiche caprette di montagna.
I partecipanti potranno anche provare in prima persona l’esperienza della mungitura, in un contesto sereno e a contatto con la natura.
A conclusione dell’attività, chi lo desidera potrà gustare un piccolo assaggio di formaggi e miele locali, per un momento di condivisione e di sapori autentici della valle (facoltativo extra €3,00).

Born in 2021 with the official recognition of the Veneto Region, the Ecomuseum of the Biois Valley embraces the municipalities of Canale d’Agordo, Falcade, and Vallada Agordina.
These three locations, nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, share a strong cultural, linguistic, and folkloric identity, deeply connected to the history and nature of the territory.
Unlike a traditional museum, the Ecomuseum is not confined within four walls: it is a widespread museum, alive outdoors, and directly involves those who inhabit it. Indeed, it is the inhabitants themselves, along with the community, who become guardians and promoters of the environmental, historical, and cultural heritage of the valley.
Walking through the villages, paths, and ancient hamlets, it is possible to discover stories, customs, knowledge, and memories that have shaped the identity of this land over the centuries.
The Ecomuseum is, in fact, a living, dynamic project, born to safeguard the roots of the territory and transmit them to future generations and to all those who wish to discover our valley in its various facets. Part of a network that today counts about 230 ecomuseums throughout Italy, the Ecomuseum of the Biois Valley aims to invite you to experience an authentic journey among breathtaking landscapes, life stories, and traditions that still speak the genuine language of the mountains.
Every Monday afternoon, from June 30 to August 25, an activity designed for the whole family awaits you, suitable for both adults and children, to spend a few hours outdoors among nature, animals, and genuine flavors. In one of the most suggestive corners of Canale d’Agordo, a pleasant walk awaits us that will lead us to Mirco and Lino, passionate guardians of the local rural world.
This will be an opportunity to closely discover the fascinating universe of bees, essential for environmental balance, and to meet the friendly mountain goats.
Participants will also be able to personally experience the milking process, in a serene environment and in contact with nature.
At the end of the activity, those who wish can savor a small tasting of local cheeses and honey, for a moment of sharing and authentic flavors of the valley (optional extra €3.00).

Es sind tatsächlich die Einwohner selbst, neben der Gemeinschaft, die sich als Hüter und Förderer des Erbes der Umwelt, Geschichte und Kultur des Tals verstehen.
Beim Wandern zwischen den Dörfern, den Wegen und den alten Weiler kann man Erzählungen, Gebräuche, Wissen und Erinnerungen entdecken, die über die Jahrhunderte die Identität dieses Landes geprägt haben.
Das Ecomuseum ist in der Tat ein lebendiges, dynamisches Projekt, das dazu dient, die Wurzeln des Gebiets zu bewahren und sie an künftige Generationen und an alle, die unser Tal in seinen verschiedenen Facetten entdeckt möchten, weiterzugeben. Es ist Teil eines Netzwerks von heute etwa 230 Ecomuseen in ganz Italien. Das Ecomuseum des Tals des Biois möchte dazu einladen, eine authentische Erfahrung zu leben, zwischen atemberaubenden Landschaften, Lebensgeschichten und Traditionen, die immer noch die echte Sprache der Berge sprechen.
Jeden Montagnachmittag, vom 30. Juni bis zum 25. August, erwartet Sie eine Aktivität für die ganze Familie, geeignet für Groß und Klein, um einige Stunden im Freien zwischen Natur, Tieren und authentischen Aromen zu verbringen. An einem der malerischsten Orte in Canale d’Agordo erwartet uns ein angenehmer Spaziergang, der uns zu Mirco und Lino bringt, leidenschaftliche Hüter der lokalen ländlichen Welt.
Es wird die Gelegenheit sein, das faszinierende Universum der Bienen hautnah zu erleben, die für das Gleichgewicht der Umwelt entscheidend sind, und die sympathischen Bergziegen kennenzulernen.
Die Teilnehmer können auch persönlich die Erfahrung des Melkens in einem entspannten Umfeld und im Kontakt mit der Natur ausprobieren.
Am Ende der Aktivität können alle, die möchten, eine kleine Verkostung von lokalen Käsesorten und Honig genießen, um einen Moment des Teilens und des echten Geschmacks des Tales zu erleben (optionale Zusatzgebühr von €3,00).
