Cosa accadrebbe se riscrivessimo la storia per le nuove generazioni e si dicesse che la guerra non è un atto necessario per l’identità di un popolo e che gli esseri umani ne hanno sempre avuto paura?
Ogni soldato, ogni combattente, ogni guerriero è stato un bambino prima di tutto che giocava tra le braccia di una madre e di un padre…
Tersite è un uomo alle prese con il tentativo di riportare in alto la propria vita ritrovandosi ossessionato dall’idea di smascherare il “mito dell’eroe classico” durante la guerra di Troia.
Scrive per il desiderio di raccontare la sua verità: la storia non è come la raccontano gli eroi e le virtù classiche delle figure omeriche come la forza, la bellezza e la ferocia non gli appartengono…
La pièce esplora temi di grande attualità come la vergogna nel sentirsi inadeguati e la ricerca della propria identità in un mondo dominato dalla violenza e dall’idea di perfezione.
Ne emerge un ritratto avvincente di un individuo che lotta contro sé stesso e contro le aspettative sociali, offrendo una riflessione profonda sul concetto stesso di eroismo e sulla complessità dell’identità personale.
Un lungo flusso di coscienza dove la condanna feroce della brutalità della guerra si contrappone alla ricerca della verità attraverso i suoi scritti che diventano un personale momento di redenzione, capace di porre l’attenzione sul fatto che la storia può avere una narrazione diversa, non sempre da parte degli eroi!
L’eroe del mio racconto è un uomo spaventato, fragile, incapace di fare la guerra. Incarna tutto ciò che per la cultura omerica era da disprezzare…
Il racconto si muove dentro e fuori dall’Iliade…si pone in un tempo non definito: ci sono le lance e la città di Troia, ma c’è anche il linguaggio e l’inquietudine della nostra contemporaneità. C’è l’ossessione per la gloria e la paura del fallimento, l’orgoglio di essere diverso dagli altri e la vergogna di sé. E infine c’è la guerra, il sangue, la violenza, ma anche il tentativo di immaginare una possibilità diversa per gli uomini: attraverso la scrittura, l’accettazione e sì, anche la debolezza.

ILIADE Il coraggio dei codardi è un tentativo di parlare alle giovani generazioni, assoggettate dall’idea di dover essere sempre in prestazione, come se fossero costantemente coinvolti in un atto performativo che gli impedisce di affrontare il loro tempo con la giusta consapevolezza.

Tersites is a man struggling to lift his life up again, becoming obsessed with the idea of unmasking the “myth of the classical hero” during the Trojan War.
He writes out of a desire to tell his truth: history is not as narrated by heroes, and the classical virtues of Homeric figures such as strength, beauty, and ferocity do not belong to him…
The play explores highly relevant themes such as the shame of feeling inadequate and the search for one’s identity in a world dominated by violence and the idea of perfection.
It emerges as a compelling portrait of an individual fighting against himself and societal expectations, offering a profound reflection on the very concept of heroism and the complexity of personal identity.
A long stream of consciousness where the fierce condemnation of the brutality of war contrasts with the search for truth through his writings, which become a personal moment of redemption, capable of highlighting the fact that history can have a different narrative, not always from the heroes!
The hero of my story is a scared, fragile man, incapable of waging war. He embodies everything that was to be despised in Homeric culture…
The tale moves in and out of the Iliad… it is set in an undefined time: there are spears and the city of Troy, but there is also the language and anxiety of our contemporaneity. There is the obsession with glory and the fear of failure, the pride of being different from others and the shame of oneself. And finally, there is war, blood, violence, but also the attempt to imagine a different possibility for men: through writing, acceptance, and yes, even weakness.

Was würde passieren, wenn wir die Geschichte für die neuen Generationen umschreiben und sagen, dass Krieg kein notwendiger Akt für die Identität eines Volkes ist und dass Menschen immer Angst davor hatten?
Jeder Soldat, jeder Kämpfer, jeder Krieger war zuerst ein Kind, das in den Armen einer Mutter und eines Vaters spielte…
Tersite ist ein Mann, der versucht, sein Leben wieder auf die Höhe zu bringen, und sich von dem Gedanken besessen fühlt, den “Mythos des klassischen Helden” im Trojanischen Krieg zu entlarven.
Er schreibt aus dem Wunsch heraus, seine Wahrheit zu erzählen: Die Geschichte ist nicht so, wie die Helden erzählen, und die klassischen Tugenden der homerischen Figuren wie Stärke, Schönheit und Wildheit gehören ihm nicht…
Das Stück erforscht aktuelle Themen wie Scham, sich unzulänglich zu fühlen, und die Suche nach der eigenen Identität in einer von Gewalt und dem Perfektionsidealen dominierten Welt.
Es entsteht ein faszinierendes Porträt eines Individuums, das gegen sich selbst und die gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen kämpft und eine tiefgründige Reflexion über das Konzept des Heroismus und die Komplexität der persönlichen Identität bietet.
Ein langer Bewusstseinsstrom, in dem die heftige Verurteilung der Brutalität des Krieges der Suche nach der Wahrheit in seinen Schriften gegenübersteht, die zu einem persönlichen Moment der Erlösung werden und darauf hinweisen, dass die Geschichte eine andere Erzählweise haben kann, nicht immer von den Helden!
Der Held meiner Erzählung ist ein verängstigter, schwacher Mann, der unfähig ist, Krieg zu führen. Er verkörpert alles, was in der homerischen Kultur verachtet wurde…
Die Erzählung bewegt sich ein- und aus der Ilias… sie spielt in einer unbestimmten Zeit: Es gibt Speere und die Stadt Troja, aber auch die Sprache und die Unruhe unserer Gegenwart. Es gibt die Besessenheit nach Ruhm und die Angst vor dem Scheitern, den Stolz, anders zu sein als andere und die Scham über sich selbst. Und schließlich gibt es den Krieg, das Blut, die Gewalt, aber auch den Versuch, eine andere Möglichkeit für die Menschen vorzustellen: durch das Schreiben, Akzeptanz und ja, auch Schwäche.

ILIADE Der Mut der Feigen ist ein Versuch, an die jungen Generationen zu appellieren, die von der Idee geprägt sind, dass sie immer Leistung erbringen müssen, als wären sie ständig an einem performativen Akt beteiligt, der sie daran hindert, ihre Zeit mit dem nötigen Bewusstsein zu begegnen.
