Nella casa dei maturi coniugi Piero e Ortensia si sente ancora l’ingombrante presenza della suocera Palmira, ormai passata ai più. Ortensia è fermamente intenzionata a riprendere contatto con la madre e si rivolge a sedicenti spiritisti.
Nel frattempo Piero approfitta della distrazione di Ortensia per consolarsi tra le braccia di altre donne. Una commedia che è un turbine di imprevisti e di intrighi.

In the home of the mature couple Piero and Ortensia, the cumbersome presence of the mother-in-law Palmira, now passed on, is still felt. Ortensia is firmly determined to reconnect with her mother and turns to self-proclaimed spiritists.
Meanwhile, Piero takes advantage of Ortensia's distraction to find solace in the arms of other women. A comedy that is a whirlwind of unexpected events and intrigues.

Im Haus des reifen Ehepaars Piero und Ortensia spürt man noch immer die drückende Präsenz der verstorbenen Schwiegermutter Palmira. Ortensia ist fest entschlossen, den Kontakt zur Mutter wiederherzustellen und wendet sich an selbsternannte Spiritisten.
In der Zwischenzeit nutzt Piero Ortensias Ablenkung aus, um sich in den Armen anderer Frauen Trost zu suchen. Eine Komödie, die ein Wirbelwind aus unerwarteten Ereignissen und Intrigen ist.
