Attualmente sede dell’omonimo Albergo Ristorante, Locale Storico d’Italia, il Palazzo Cappello risale al XVII secolo. Nel 1700 il capostipite della famiglia Cappello acquistò il palazzo e nel secolo successivo fu avviata un’attività alberghiera. Nell’ampia facciata esterna emerge l’insegna metallica di un cappello che cambiava colore a seconda degli orientamenti politici nel corso della storia Italiana; dopo il regime Fascista è rimasto di colore nero. Sempre all’esterno si nota l’artistico poggiolo in pietra. All’interno vi sono ancora il tipico larin, il focolare, e graziosi affreschi ottocenteschi. Tra le varie camere si può soggiornare nella cosiddetta stanza di Radetzky che secondo la tradizione avrebbe ospitato lo stesso feldmaresciallo austriaco.
This 17th century Palazzo is home to ther homonymous hotel, restaurant and Locale Storico d’Italia (historical establishments of Italy) . The founder of the Cappello family, who gave the Palazzo its name, purchased the building and later started the hotel business. The metal sign of a hat that adorns the large façade has changed colour many times throughout the history of Italy depending on the political situation of the time, but it remained black after the Fascist regime. The front of the building also features an artistic stone balcony. The interior has a typical "larin" (fireplace) and elegant 19th century frescoes. Guests can sleep in the so-called Radetzky room where, according to tradition, the Austrian field marshal stayed.
