Risalente al XIV secolo è fra le più antiche case del paese ed ora monumento nazionale. La facciata rivolta a sud è dipinta con affreschi che raffigurano una scena di battaglia, mentre in alto, dei medaglioni incorniciano busti di uomo e di donna. Gli affreschi sono opera di Pomponio Amalteo, nato a Motta di Livenza nel 1505. All’interno, al primo piano, sono stati riportati alla luce alcuni affreschi raffiguranti due personaggi in piedi ed un castello, ripetuto più volte nella casa e scolpito sulle chiavi di volta dei portoni, sullo stemma della famiglia Barbuio e riprodotto sul pavimento “alla veneziana” che si trova al primo piano. All’interno si apre una elegante cortile cinto da porticati con giardino e scalinata in pietra. Attualmente è abitazione della famiglia Francescon-Leo e ospita un elegante bed and breakfast.
Dating back to the 14th century, this is one of the oldest buildings in the town and now a national monument. The south-facing façade is decorated with frescoes depicting a battle scene and people standing while, higher up, male and female busts sit in medallions. The frescoes are by Pomponio Amalteo, born in Motta di Livenza in 1505. Inside the Palazzo, on the first floor, a number of frescoes have been uncovered: they portray two people standing and a castle, a motif which is repeated several times throughout the house and sculptured on the keystones on the doors, on the coat of arms of the Barbuio family and reproduced on the terrazzo floor on the first floor. An elegant courtyard lies within, surrounded by porticoes, and with gardens and a stone staircase. The Palazzo is the home of the Francescon-Leo family and hosts a stylish bed and breakfast.
