Il mese di novembre del 1987 è stato un mese fondamentale nella vita musicale di Gianluca Mosole e Paolo Carletto: hanno avuto l'onore di aprire i concerti di Miles Davis al PalaTrussardi di Milano e al PalaEur di Roma. Quel "modo" di concepire la musica mescolando la cultura e i colori del Jazz e del Funk, che da sempre amavano, li folgorò in maniera definitiva: ormai scorreva nelle loro vene. Nel loro inconscio musicale quelle note avrebbero continuato ad echeggiare senza mai risentire del tempo che passava: la loro attualità viene ribadita ogni giorno dall'evoluzione della musica contemporanea. Fu un vero e proprio “Big Bang”. Questo nuovo progetto è una una “concept band” che rende omaggio a Miles e al suo genio, che ha origine nel suo suono, dagli anni ottanta ai nostri giorni. Una domanda: Quale sarebbe stata l'evoluzione del suono di Miles al giorno d'oggi? Questo è ciò che tramite OverMiles si proverà a trasmettere. Grazie Miles! …..

November 1987 was a fundamental month in the musical life of Gianluca Mosole and Paolo Carletto: they had the honour of opening Miles Davis' concerts at the PalaTrussardi in Milan and the PalaEur in Rome. That 'way' of conceiving music by mixing the culture and colours of Jazz and Funk, which they had always loved, dazzled them definitively: it now ran through their veins. In their musical unconscious those notes would continue to echo without ever being affected by the passing of time: their topicality is reaffirmed every day by the evolution of contemporary music. It was a real 'Big Bang'. This new project is a 'concept band' that pays tribute to Miles and his genius, originating in his sound, from the 1980s to the present day. One question: How would Miles' sound have evolved to the present day? This is what OverMiles will try to convey. Thank you Miles! .....
