Inaugurato nel 1905, conserva tra le più ricche collezioni storico-artistiche del genere in Alto Adige: opere d'arte del Medioevo fino al XX secolo, madonne romaniche e crocifissi, altari gotici a portelle e la famosa sezione di arte popolare con le "Stuben" gotiche, gli originali costumi popolari e le maschere.
First opened in 1905, it holds one of the biggest historic-artistic collections in South Tyrol: works of arts from the Middle Ages until the 20th century, Romansque Madonna's and crosses, winged gothic altars and the famous art section of popular art with the gothic "Stuben", the original folk costumes and masks.
Das Museum wurde 1905 eröffnet. Es beherbergt eine der reichsten historisch-künstlerischen Sammlungen Südtirols: Kunstwerke aus dem Mittelalter und herauf bis ins 20. Jh., romanische Madonnen und Kruzifixe, gotische Flügelaltäre und die berühmte Sektion Südtiroler Volkskunst, gotische Stuben, Original-Trachten und Masken.
