Sabato 26 e domenica 27 settembre 2026 tornano in Italia le Giornate Europee del Patrimonio (European Heritage Days), la più estesa e partecipata manifestazione culturale d’Europa, promossa dal Consiglio d’Europa e dalla Commissione Europea e coordinata per l’Italia dal Ministero della Cultura.
Il tema dell’edizione 2026, “Proteggere il patrimonio. Rinnovare, resistere, reinventare”, è la declinazione italiana del tema europeo “Heritage at Risk: Protecting, Renewing, Reimagining” e invita a riflettere sulle molteplici sollecitazioni alle quali il patrimonio culturale, materiale e immateriale, è oggi sottoposto e sulle responsabilità condivise necessarie per garantirne la conservazione, la vitalità e la trasmissione alle generazioni future.
In una società in continua trasformazione, segnata dai cambiamenti climatici, dalle catastrofi naturali, dai conflitti, dalla mobilità e da processi di digitalizzazione sempre più rapidi, il patrimonio culturale è esposto a nuovi rischi, ma anche a nuove opportunità. Le Giornate Europee del Patrimonio rappresentano così un’occasione per promuovere una maggiore consapevolezza sul valore dei beni culturali e sulla necessità di prendersene cura, rinnovando gli strumenti della conoscenza e della valorizzazione e individuando nuove modalità di fruizione e trasmissione.
In occasione delle GEP 2026, Villa Badoer, la Casa Museo Giacomo Matteotti e il Museo Etnografico “Il Manegium”, in collaborazione con altre realtà coinvolte nelle iniziative, propongono due appuntamenti dedicati alla scoperta del patrimonio storico, culturale e paesaggistico del territorio polesano, attraverso il tema della fragilità e della necessità di preservare le testimonianze del passato.
Il primo appuntamento, “Fragili eredità”, si svolgerà sabato 26 settembre alle ore 17.00 e proporrà una visita guidata congiunta alla Casa Museo Giacomo Matteotti e al Museo Etnografico “Il Manegium” di Fratta Polesine. Il percorso nasce con l’obiettivo di offrire una visione complessiva del Polesine nel quale Giacomo Matteotti è cresciuto e di approfondire le radici della sua formazione umana, sociale e politica. Attraverso luoghi, storie e testimonianze sarà possibile riscoprire un patrimonio tanto prezioso quanto fragile, la cui conoscenza rappresenta il primo passo per garantirne la conservazione e la trasmissione alle generazioni future.
Domenica 27 settembre, a partire dalle ore 9.30, sarà invece la volta di “Ville by Bike: Percorsi di Storia e Paesaggio”, un itinerario in bicicletta da Polesella a Fratta Polesine che unirà mobilità dolce, scoperta del paesaggio e conoscenza del patrimonio architettonico. Il percorso prevede la visita di Villa Morosini, Villa Molin-Avezzù e Villa Badoer, con soste e visite guidate in ciascuna delle tre ville. Un’occasione per attraversare il territorio e osservarne il patrimonio da una prospettiva inedita, quella delle fragilità, delle minacce e delle sfide che nel corso del tempo hanno interessato luoghi, comunità e paesaggi.

On Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, 2026, the European Heritage Days, the largest and most attended cultural event in Europe, returns to Italy, promoted by the Council of Europe and the European Commission and coordinated in Italy by the Ministry of Culture.
The theme for the 2026 edition, “Protecting Heritage. Renewing, Resisting, Reinventing”, is the Italian interpretation of the European theme “Heritage at Risk: Protecting, Renewing, Reimagining” and invites reflection on the multiple pressures to which cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, is currently subjected and the shared responsibilities necessary to ensure its preservation, vitality, and transmission to future generations.
In a society undergoing continuous transformation, marked by climate change, natural disasters, conflicts, mobility, and increasingly rapid processes of digitization, cultural heritage is exposed to new risks but also to new opportunities. The European Heritage Days thus represent an opportunity to promote greater awareness of the value of cultural goods and the necessity of caring for them, renewing the tools of knowledge and enhancement, and identifying new ways of enjoyment and transmission.
On the occasion of the EHD 2026, Villa Badoer, Casa Museo Giacomo Matteotti, and the Ethnographic Museum “Il Manegium”, in collaboration with other entities involved in the initiatives, will propose two events dedicated to the discovery of the historical, cultural, and landscape heritage of the Polesine territory, through the theme of fragility and the need to preserve the testimonies of the past.
The first event, “Fragile Heritages”, will take place on Saturday, September 26 at 5:00 p.m. and will offer a joint guided tour of the Casa Museo Giacomo Matteotti and the Ethnographic Museum “Il Manegium” in Fratta Polesine. The route aims to provide a comprehensive view of the Polesine where Giacomo Matteotti grew up and to deepen the roots of his human, social, and political formation. Through places, stories, and testimonies, it will be possible to rediscover a heritage as precious as it is fragile, whose knowledge represents the first step toward ensuring its preservation and transmission to future generations.
On Sunday, September 27, starting at 9:30 a.m., it will be the turn of “Ville by Bike: Paths of History and Landscape”, a bicycle itinerary from Polesella to Fratta Polesine that will combine soft mobility, landscape discovery, and knowledge of architectural heritage. The itinerary includes visits to Villa Morosini, Villa Molin-Avezzù, and Villa Badoer, with stops and guided tours at each of the three villas. An opportunity to cross the territory and observe its heritage from a new perspective, that of fragilities, threats, and challenges that over time have affected places, communities, and landscapes.
The two initiatives thus aim to propose a reading of heritage not as an immobile reality, but as a living and fragile legacy, to be known, protected, and reinterpreted in light of present transformations. Am Samstag, den 26. und Sonntag, den 27. September 2026 kehren die Europäischen Tage des Erbes (European Heritage Days) nach Italien zurück, die umfangreichste und am meisten besuchte kulturelle Veranstaltung in Europa, gefördert vom Europarat und der Europäischen Kommission und in Italien koordiniert vom Ministerium für Kultur.
Das Thema der Edition 2026, “Das Erbe schützen. Erneuern, widerstehen, neu erfinden”, ist die italienische Ausprägung des europäischen Themas “Heritage at Risk: Protecting, Renewing, Reimagining” und lädt dazu ein, über die vielfältigen Herausforderungen nachzudenken, denen das kulturelle Erbe, materiell und immateriell, heute ausgesetzt ist, sowie über die gemeinsamen Verantwortlichkeiten, die notwendig sind, um dessen Erhaltung, Vitalität und Übertragung an zukünftige Generationen zu gewährleisten.
In einer sich ständig wandelnden Gesellschaft, geprägt von Klimaveränderungen, Naturkatastrophen, Konflikten, Mobilität und immer schnelleren Digitalisierungsprozessen, ist das kulturelle Erbe neuen Risiken, aber auch neuen Chancen ausgesetzt. Die Europäischen Tage des Erbes stellen somit eine Gelegenheit dar, um ein größeres Bewusstsein für den Wert des kulturellen Erbes und die Notwendigkeit seiner Pflege zu fördern, indem die Werkzeuge des Wissens und der Wertschätzung erneuert und neue Formen des Zugangs und der Übermittlung identifiziert werden.
Anlässlich der GEP 2026 bieten Villa Badoer, Casa Museo Giacomo Matteotti und das Etnografische Museum “Il Manegium”, in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen an den Initiativen beteiligten Einrichtungen, zwei Termine an, die der Entdeckung des historischen, kulturellen und landschaftlichen Erbes des Polesina gewidmet sind, mit dem Thema der Fragilität und der Notwendigkeit, die Zeugnisse der Vergangenheit zu bewahren.
Das erste Event, “Fragile Erbschaften”, findet am Samstag, den 26. September um 17:00 Uhr statt und bietet eine gemeinsame Führung durch das Casa Museo Giacomo Matteotti und das Etnografische Museum “Il Manegium” in Fratta Polesine an. Der Rundgang hat das Ziel, einen umfassenden Überblick über das Polesine zu bieten, in dem Giacomo Matteotti aufgewachsen ist, und die Wurzeln seiner menschlichen, sozialen und politischen Bildung zu vertiefen. Durch Orte, Geschichten und Zeugnisse wird es möglich sein, ein kulturelles Erbe wiederzuentdecken, das sowohl kostbar als auch zerbrechlich ist, dessen Kenntnis den ersten Schritt zur Gewährleistung seiner Erhaltung und Übertragung an zukünftige Generationen darstellt.
Am Sonntag, dem 27. September, ab 9:30 Uhr, folgt dann “Ville by Bike: Pfade von Geschichte und Landschaft”, eine Fahrradtour von Polesella nach Fratta Polesine, die sanfte Mobilität, Landschaftserkennung und Wissen über das architektonische Erbe vereint. Der Weg sieht Besuche der Villa Morosini, Villa Molin-Avezzù und Villa Badoer vor, mit Stopps und geführten Besichtigungen in jeder der drei Villen. Eine Gelegenheit, das Gebiet zu durchqueren und dessen Erbe aus einer neuen Perspektive zu betrachten, nämlich aus der Sicht der Fragilitäten, Bedrohungen und Herausforderungen, die im Laufe der Zeit Orte, Gemeinschaften und Landschaften betroffen haben.
