La luce diventa musica: tre cori si incontrano per una prima esecuzione mondiale tra Bassano e Marostica.
Tre appuntamenti dedicati alla coralità giovanile, alla creazione musicale contemporanea e alla formazione dei direttori di coro.
Ospite internazionale sarà il prestigioso Leioa Kantika Korala, diretto da Basilio Astulez, considerato uno dei cori giovanili più interessanti del panorama corale mondiale e protagonista di importanti festival e tournée in Europa, Asia e Americhe. L’ensemble basco incontrerà i cori Giovani Voci Bassano e Gioventù in Cantata, dando vita a un progetto artistico condiviso.
Al centro dei concerti vi sarà un momento molto speciale: la prima esecuzione mondiale di un brano commissionato alla compositrice Katerina Gimon.
La composizione nasce da un percorso creativo avviato lo scorso anno con i giovani cantori, invitati a riflettere sul tema della luce. Le loro parole e suggestioni sono state rielaborate dalla compositrice in un testo poetico in italiano, spagnolo e basco, dando origine a una partitura corale intensa e articolata, con una scrittura fino a sette–otto voci.
Il nuovo brano sarà interpretato insieme dai tre cori coinvolti, come simbolo di incontro tra culture, lingue e generazioni.
Accanto ai concerti è prevista anche una masterclass per direttori di coro, dedicata al repertorio corale giovanile contemporaneo e alla gestione di partiture polifoniche complesse: un’occasione di confronto e approfondimento sul lavoro con i cori giovanili.

The light becomes music: three choirs meet for a world premiere between Bassano and Marostica.
Three events dedicated to youth choral singing, contemporary musical creation, and training for choir directors.
The international guest will be the prestigious Leioa Kantika Korala, conducted by Basilio Astulez, considered one of the most interesting youth choirs in the global choral scene and a protagonist of major festivals and tours in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The Basque ensemble will meet the choirs Giovani Voci Bassano and Gioventù in Cantata, giving life to a shared artistic project.
At the heart of the concerts will be a very special moment: the world premiere of a piece commissioned from the composer Katerina Gimon.
The composition arises from a creative journey started last year with the young singers, invited to reflect on the theme of light. Their words and suggestions have been reworked by the composer into a poetic text in Italian, Spanish, and Basque, giving rise to an intense and articulated choral score, with writing for up to seven–eight voices.
The new piece will be performed together by the three involved choirs, as a symbol of the meeting between cultures, languages, and generations.
Alongside the concerts, there will also be a masterclass for choir directors, dedicated to the contemporary youth choral repertoire and the management of complex polyphonic scores: an opportunity for discussion and deepening on the work with youth choirs.

Licht wird Musik: Drei Chöre treffen sich zur Uraufführung zwischen Bassano und Marostica.
Drei Veranstaltungen, die der jugendlichen Chormusik, der zeitgenössischen Musikschöpfung und der Ausbildung von Chorleitern gewidmet sind.
Der internationale Gast wird der prestigeträchtige Leioa Kantika Korala sein, geleitet von Basilio Astulez, der als einer der interessantesten Jugendchöre der weltweiten Chorszene gilt und zahlreiche wichtige Festivals und Tourneen in Europa, Asien und Amerika bestritten hat. Das baskische Ensemble wird die Chöre Giovani Voci Bassano und Gioventù in Cantata treffen und ein gemeinsames künstlerisches Projekt ins Leben rufen.
Im Mittelpunkt der Konzerte wird ein ganz besonderer Moment stehen: die Uraufführung eines Werkes, das der Komponistin Katerina Gimon in Auftrag gegeben wurde.
Die Komposition entsteht aus einem kreativen Prozess, der im vergangenen Jahr mit den jungen Sängern begonnen wurde, die eingeladen wurden, über das Thema der Helligkeit nachzudenken. Ihre Worte und Anregungen wurden von der Komponistin in einen poetischen Text in Italienisch, Spanisch und Baskisch umformuliert, was zu einer intensiven und vielschichtigen Chornotenschrift führte, mit einer Komposition von bis zu sieben–acht Stimmen.
Das neue Werk wird von den drei beteiligten Chören gemeinsam interpretiert, als Symbol für das Treffen von Kulturen, Sprachen und Generationen.
Zusätzlich zu den Konzerten ist auch eine Masterclass für Chorleiter geplant, die sich dem zeitgenössischen Repertoire der Jugendchormusik und der Leitung von komplexen polyphonen Partituren widmet: eine Gelegenheit zum Austausch und zur Vertiefung der Arbeit mit den Jugendchören.
