Fuga BWV 565 è una performance basata sulla corsa, che diventa metafora di una paradossale condizione esistenziale: quella di chi si muove pur restando fermo, in fuga da sé e dalle proprie contingenze, in cerca di un benessere sempre a venire. Una sessione di allena-mento su tapis roulant è l’occasione per una deriva immaginale, su sonorità provenienti dalla musica barocca e dal mondo dell’intrattenimento, capace di riscrivere il senso stesso della pratica sportiva. Con questo progetto, il duo artistico Palermo/Petrosino continua la propria ricerca sulla natura dell’atto performativo a partire dal quotidiano, dando vita a una coreografia minima del gesto concreto, al confine tra realtà e finzione.
Fuga BWV 565 is a performance based on running, which becomes a metaphor for a paradoxical existential condition: that of someone who moves while remaining still, fleeing from themselves and their own circumstances, in search of a wellness that is always yet to come. A training session on a treadmill is the occasion for an imaginary drift, using sounds derived from baroque music and the entertainment world, capable of rewriting the very meaning of sports practice. With this project, the artistic duo Palermo/Petrosino continues their exploration of the nature of the performative act starting from the everyday, giving life to a minimal choreography of concrete gesture, on the border between reality and fiction.
