La Volkswagen Typ 1, meglio conosciuta come Maggiolino in Italia è un'automobile compatta prodotta dalla Volkswagen dal 1938 al 2003. È sicuramente l'automobile tedesca più conosciuta al mondo, assurgendo a simbolo della rinascita industriale tedesca nel secondo dopoguerra, nonché il primo modello Volkswagen prodotto.
Detiene attualmente il record di auto più longeva del mondo, essendo stata prodotta ininterrottamente per sessantacinque anni. Inoltre, ha detenuto a lungo il primato di auto più venduta al mondo, con 21.529.464 esemplari, e attualmente è la quarta auto al mondo per numero di esemplari prodotti. Nel 1999 è stata nominata tra le cinque automobili più influenti del XX Secolo.
Il Club Nazionale Amanti del Maggiolino di Verona promuove un'attività sportiva non agonistica, ricreativa e culturale intesa a valorizzare e rappresentare gli aspetti storici epocali dell'automobile, in particolare di tutte le autovetture Volkswagen con motore posteriore raffreddato ad aria.
Presta la propria collaborazione per favorire e divulgare tutte quelle conoscenze tecniche utili al restauro, mantenimento e conservazioni di queste interessanti autovetture. Favorisce lo spirito amatoriale, promuovendo manifestazioni di carattere turistico ambientale, sfilate e mostre a scopo culturale.

The National Club of Beetle Lovers of Verona promotes a non-competitive sporting, recreational, and cultural activity aimed at highlighting and representing the epochal historical aspects of the car, particularly all Volkswagen vehicles with rear air-cooled engines.
It lends its collaboration to favor and disseminate all those technical knowledge useful for the restoration, maintenance, and conservation of these interesting cars. It fosters the amateur spirit, promoting events of an environmental tourism nature, parades, and exhibitions for cultural purposes.

Der Nationale Club der Käferliebhaber in Verona fördert eine nicht wettkampforientierte sportliche, freizeitorientierte und kulturelle Aktivität, die darauf abzielt, die historischen und epochemachenden Aspekte des Automobils, insbesondere aller Volkswagen-Automobile mit luftgekühltem Heckmotor, zu schätzen und darzustellen.
Er leistet seine Unterstützung, um alle technischen Kenntnisse zu fördern und zu verbreiten, die für die Restaurierung, den Erhalt und die Konservierung dieser interessanten Automobile nützlich sind. Er fördert den Amateurgeist und organisiert Veranstaltungen von touristisch-umweltlichem Charakter, Paraden und Ausstellungen zu kulturellen Zwecken.
